I so dont get this promotion, nipped in for some coke as it was closer than asda.

Tesco had 8 packs 2 for £6.50 yet in asda there 2 for £4, so I thought thats ok i'll get 4 packs meaning I'll get DTD of £5.00, then I got some cereal as it was 342 but somehow thats cancelled out my DTD. I did get a voucher for £2.02, though so not all lost.

    TOTAL £ 7.74 £ 6.73
    1 x NESTLE HONEY CHEERIOS 375G £ 0.60 * £ 2.09
    1 x MARKET VALUE APPLE PK £ 0.64 £ 0.64
    2 x COCA COLA REGULAR 8X330ML £ 6.50 * £ 4.00
    2 x SUGAR PUFFS 320G £ 1.19 * N/A

I'm so glad I don't shop in tesco often as coke is BOGOF in my local coop at £3.35 for a 6 pack.

You should have bought the cereal separately then you would have been quids in.

As the pepsi is finishing today, does anyone know if the 8 packs of caffeine free diet coke work?
  • I have two £100 DTD vouchers to use, from the pre-cap days. Im a bit anxious about using these - can anyone suggest the best way to? I dont know whether to use the manned tills and hope for the best, use them gradually through an on-line shop (not done an online food shop before, and am hoping paying the delivery driver with a voucher would be ok?) or checking first in-store with customer services before doing a large shop and going to a till?

has anyone any experience spending the £100 vouchers, without being too much 'on the radar'?

    thanks!

(sorry, ive moved this from the prices-only thread)

So true, plus Tesco can pull this deal at any moment.
agree with you wholeheartedly :) plus the money is tied to tesco, and can't be used on fuel. Also without VERY careful maths you have to go a bit over your voucher to get it cashed, and while you're in there you'll probably 'pick up a few bits...' Also lots of people will use the DTD voucher for treats rather than usual spends, forgetting that their initial outlay to get this free food was a basket/trolley full of already overinflated goods. Additionally this enforces the more expensive brands in people's (and their children's) minds so that once the deal is over we'll still reach for those...

I personally think Tesco is still the big winner here by a long chalk.
