Thanks to everyone who's helped with the SS - I'm off to sit with the wife before she divorces me!
See you all soon.
PS - nice one whoever decided to delete the first column; it really wasn't needed. :jI am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

funny thing is, this is supposed to be tesco's finest!
maybe it was a week ago!
I went to buy a couple of these today and was put off at how tiny they were. Admitedly they were only £4 - £6 pack sizes, but bearly enough for one portion per pack. I noticed in the butchers section the same product is available for £16 per kilo rather than the Tesco finest price of £25 a kilo.
It's price structuring like this that is allowing Tesco's to be put in the position that allows people to get such great deals on it's DTD offer.
Also, to those worrying about the hightened profile of the spreadsheet (and indeed this very thread) I wouldn't worry too much, Tesco knew this was going on even when the added the £20 limits and £100 max per month. Here are some reasons why I don't think they are bothered too much:
1. Why would they set a monthly target if they knew the offer was being abused to an extent they felt the need to withdraw it completly?
2. Rather than pull the offer, they could simply look at the list themselves and reduce the prices of the items on it to match ASDA's prices making our efforts futile.
3. They do not want to be put in a position of publicly admitting they cant beat ASDAs prices and shut down the promotion so soon after starting it.
I could be wrong, but i think they have more to lose than gain by shutting it down to soon (especially when option 2 above is the easiest thing in the world to do without losing any face whatsoever in the public eye, but they still chose not to do it). I think they don't becasue they still make more money from the people buying it and not taking advantage of DTD (thereby over paying) than they lose from those taking "optimum advantage" of the offer.0 -

However! And this is a big however. This is the MSE forum! I've saved (and spent lol!) thousands from other people's help. If I can give something back, then I will - and I have. I think it should remain open, and the more the merier on the editorial board. Whoever made it all alphapbetical - thank you.
To all those working on it for me, themeselves, other regulars, and the averag eperson who really needs this in the current economic climate, we thank you all.
I'm open to discussion on this topic, but that is my opening gambit!
Oh, and the 4 £20 shops I did tonight with a barrier between each using a voucher on each all went through fine. I love DTD! :DGot some bodyform for my daughter and wife with a little tin that you can take in your handbag too! Of course on DTD
I haven't had the guts to do multiple shops with vouchers with barriers in between!
Re the spreadsheet I kind of agree that sharing is good and I think even if the spreadsheet was restricted deals would still be posted on here for those who were going to do some leg work, but when I looked at the spreadsheet earlier there were a huge number of people viewing it just at one particular time. More people than I think have shared deals.
I think it's in the nature of forums that a lot of people will browse and never/rarely post. I just don't know if it's a good think when there is such a definitive list.
I now have splinters from fence sitting0 -

Any one else have problems with the bar code not scanning?
I have had this happen quite a lot I suspect it might be my printer I have set the quality as high as possible but that dont seam to fix it0 -
I have edited the sheet so items that have negative cost value (e.g. total cost is actually a profit) will automatically appear in red to highlight them.
Personally i throw a couple of those items in each shop to reduce overall cost as much as I can and figured would be easier for others who do likewise to spot those items if they were highlighted. Hope thats ok, shout up if not and I will change it back0 -
Re the spreadsheet.
I dont think that many people are using this forum/dtd to think about pulling it. I had another two shops today with SA's who have never seen the vouchers. I also met a friend and a cousin in Tesco who both really love a bargain and know almost everything thats going on, neither of them knew anything about it, but they do now : )Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -
