Hi guys can I just ask any of you that are doing 3 and 4 shops a day, how are you doing it, put them through seperate? keep going out of store? get others to put them through? I want to do this as I work full time and cant go through the week but i'm a wimp!! Just made another email address so I can run 4 at a time now i.e £20 voucher x 4 emails for 4 weekends all come to £80 within the month!!

It's okay if you live in a City with lots of Tesco's but if you don't the store would soon suss you.

I have been doing a lot of thinking this evening, mainly due to Hardys Crest!!! I know this point has been laboured already but how can Mr T advertise that if they are not cheaper than Asda they will give you Double the Difference and then cap it at any level???
Surely this is misrepresentation, if they are not cheaper they should give Double the Difference regardless of the amount, as per all of their advertising. I can't understand why Mr A hasn't jumped all over this, especially at the start of the promotion where the cap per voucher was £100 and then £100 limit per month.
If somebody was having a family dinner and bought 6 bottles of Hardys Crest & 2 bottles of Hiedseick blue top champagne from Tesco (not an impossibilty, as I tend to do this at Christmas), their policy states that they could only claim £100 per month and used to state a maximum of £100 per voucher, so the price guarantee would therefore not apply on their usual monthly shop.
They then change the policy to a max of £20 per voucher i.e. £20 per shop, from what I have learnt during this promotion I am certain that on a weekly shop I could save at least £20 per week by shopping at Asda, therefore their policy changes make this promotion not accessible to ordinary families (due to the £20 voucher cap), advertising this as a pso I don't understand how they are getting away with price guarantee. If I was Mr A, I would have my staff, customers, friends and anyone I walked past in the street writing to the papers and making a spectacle of the debarcle of the Mr T campaign.
I would also just like to point out that I have had a good run at this campaign and I am overjoyed by what was achieved before my vouchers were refused, so I am not at all bitter about any of what has gone on. But I do feel that if anything was to come out of this, it should be Mr T lowering his prices but due to the cap in place, no prices are going to be lowered on a permanent basis. Therefore as far as I am concerned, the moral of the story is.......shop at Asda!

we've already discussed this, i know what you're saying butif you report it to the ASA it gets pulled and our fun stops, so lets just leave it and enjoy while it lasts?

i know i think us regulars don't need a spreadsheet to be honest, the prices are ingrained into my memory.....just need to be vigilant and keep an eye on prices in asda as well as tesco sel's , someof the offers been going on so long (eg comfort and vanish)not been checking before i've been out to buy them again, v naughty:D

Yep I have my own of things I'm interested in on dtd and just keep up to date on their prices and any dtd items popping up. I don't think most peeps who aren't as 'thorough' as us lot would even be interested in the spreadsheet. I think it would still be too hard work for them so I for one am not worried about masses of peeps finding the spreadsheet. I reckon even if they do try it the first time they don't notice a price change or get n/a then they'll give up.

i have done 2 at a time using a divider in one go-i mean without going out of the store and coming back in to do another shop

your only meant to use one voucher per day but no-one has said anything to me so far, most SA's don't know the ins and outs of the T&C's, but if you are going into the same one sev times a day or every day yes they do start to recognise you

I have no intention of reporting this to anyone, my point is really that regardless of how much the ordinary person on the street spends in Mr T, they will always get away with misrepresentation. As I said in my post, i've had a good run on this and am happy with my lot..However it's the ordinary hardworking people that end up paying even though the large corporate is using false advertising.

today, i used my £9.xx DTD voucher on a self-service checkout.

i scanned the voucher; this required authorisation. SA came over, scanned badge and hit 'authorise'.

    £9.xx was automatically deducted! :eek::eek:

    no figures manually entered!

i thought that the barcodes were generic and required an amount to be entered??

    how did the above happen??

  • Hi, sorry if i am being a bit dim, i understand using different email addresses, but do you also have to open new tesco account for each email address as well?
Also - just to say, although i really appreciate all the hard work that has gone into the spreadsheet, i also do think its not a good idea - every time i have been shopping, even when i check prices before i leave home, when i get to the store some are different, seems like tesco are changing prices all the time. Also, beware, as they are not always putting new multibuy offers on the SEL - so , one way and another , its easy to get caught out or get all your careful calculations ruined! i think its better if you get a few ideas from what people have posted, but check out for yourself on the two websites. Many thanks to everyone for all the great posts - this is FUN! - have not had chance to even look at any other grabbits for ages...

My shops with THE e-mail were all very targeted, no other items shops. Maybe that's why? Perhaps they decided to look more closely at them because of that.
