thanks to those who suggested wines. just realised, no idea how many i will need! there will only be 70 guests maximum, and i want to provide enough wine for 2 glasses each, can anyone help?

    I'd suggest 5 glasses per 75cl bottle

on a £20 DTD shop you can fit in 3 bottles per visit

Sorry if it's already here (too many pages to scroll through) but could someone post a link to the lamb as I quite fancy it but don't want to get the wrong thing!

maybe try the Tesco site and search for rack of lamb, only one shows for me...

for a medium sized glass of either red or white I would say you get 4 glasses per bottle.

You would get more out of a bottle of fizz as you don't serve as much prob about 8 glasses per bottle for toasting purposes

I went to T Extra this evening, talk about DTD heaven!!! Plenty of everything except Betty Crocker and lamb (but already have 2 in freezer so not too gutted). Got lots of goodies including Vanish x2, Gillette, Herbal Essences, Nutella, toothbrushes, Olay Aqua Physics serum and night cream, Amore yogurts etc. The SA was lovely and had no probs taking several vouchers from me. I've entered my receipt details and am awaiting the results with trepidation as always! :j

To make up for the lamb disappointment, I did really well at the reduced shelf... got lots of packs of steak, lamb chops etc reduced to about 80p each!!!!

Even better... I wombled a receipt in the car park with Vanish Oxi Action 1kg (and nothing else) on it woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!! I checked around to see if anyone was looking for it, but there was nobody - and if I'd left it it would have blown away, so I kept it. Must have been a fellow DTDer as it was paid in cash with no CC! Sorry to whoever lost it btw.

Bad one in my local today, got sent across to a till I didnt want to go to!!!!!!! What can you say when that runner grabs your basket to help you to a quicker till?? I had 2 small shops. Any way I knew this jobs worth from couponing days and just as i thought no you cant use this the numbers dont match, I explained 24 hour clock. Number 5 missing, bla bla bla. So I say, please can you just call someone I know these vouchers are fine? Huffs and puffs calls supervisor who says they are fine, SA says they are not, Supervisor goes off to check. I am stood there like a lemon for 20 mins. Felt very uncomfortable. Eventually Supervisor comes back and OK's them. Then SA says she needs my old receipts I say she doesnt, she calls another supervisor, who says no just give it back signed. The SA was not happy about me getting DTD as if it was coming out of her own pocket. Value of one, £4 odd, and biggie £14 odd. So with all this to and frowing didnt get my clubcard scanned and I saw SA put something in the bin, didnt realise until I got home it was one of my receipts for the Qmatic starter pack I was hopeful of getting DTD on. Sure she did it on purpose.

    What a total nightmare!

OH MY GOD, For the first time ever I've actually seen another DTD'er. I was checking out the SA's deciding which one to use when I realised someone was holding a voucher. Got in their queue but they were two ahead but I could see what looked like Loo rolls in the top of their shopping. So come on who are you, smart chap wearing a suit,West London branch, "Are you a friend of Martins?" LOL

I haven't seen any fellow MSEers (apart from the mystery person whose receipt I wombled)! Am I the only one in my area?????

Nice one. He just can't resist it can he? I mean why charge somebody a reasonable price like Asda of £1.50, when you can charge them £3.10

Might have to teach you a lesson tomorrow Mr T. ;)
