I think the tesco staff in my tesco is hiding all the DTD things. No jammie dodgers at all!

    :(

Good on you. Is that right that if they don't take/sign your receipt people can print off another voucher and use again ? That sounds ridiculous ? Surely Tesco must know if a voucher has been used more than
    once ?

It's strange - I thought that would be the case as well. In Tesco Weston-super-Mare today, the cashier was very puzzled by my voucher and had never seen one before. She called over the supervisor who was fine about it but also insisted on signing the receipt (she gave the receipt back). I asked why and she said it was to stop you using it again. I said 'But you have to enter all the codes from the bottom of the receipt so surely the computer system would know if it had been entered before'.

She didn't really know - in fact she asked me to explain how I had obtained the voucher. She was perfectly nice about it - she said it was a great deal etc. She failed to notice that the entire shop this time was DTD stuff. :D

Seems to me that very few Tesco staff know anything much about how this promotion works.

    so this morning I woke...

Had a shower with my Lynx shower gel...
washed my hair using Pantene shampoo...
had a shave using my proglide razor...
brushed my teeth with my colgate toothbrush

went down and tucked into my cheerios with goats milk
made a sandwich for work using the Hovis bread, some lurpark spreadable, dairylea, philidelphia and seriously strong cheddar (triple cheese sandwich)
packed a pack of quavers and a can of diet coke. also cut up some canteloupe melon - gotta be healthy.

off too work - charged myself up with some duracell batteries; couldn't go to work otherwise.

got back made my lamb (using my new roasting pan) and used my spices wedges...and rucked into some wine!!!

Just wondering if this might work, not a huge saving but good if you wanted to buy it anyway.

Pork Shoulder Joint, half price @ Tesco = £2.49/kg http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=259541778

    Asda pork shoulder on rollback = £2/kg = http://groceries.asda.com/asda-estore/products/products.jsp?skuId=6391529&departmentid=1214921923769&aisleid=1214921924657&startValue=

    So for a 3.2kg joint £7.97 T / £6.40 A = DTD of £3.14 making the joint cost £4.83.

Wondering if they'd be likely compared.

I had it compared when tried to do a mixed shop last week with bigger voucher and it was half price at T and double that in A

    Anyway they DID compare...

which wines are DTD at the moment? and are any of them 'weddingy' lol. i dont drink wine so have no clue, but i'm planning my wedding and were doing the food and booze so cheap wine would help with the budget alot

I would second the suggestion for the Mateus Rose.... at £2 a bottle its not bad (polished off a bottle last night!). It's nice to have a bit of fizz for the toasts or even the welcome drink and it doesn't have to be proper champagne. Just keep a look out for price changes as others have suggested they may change tonight
