I'm not sure about the deal - someone will advise. However ASDA do a great deal on chickens at the end of a Friday night. Usually reduced to less than a pound. I regularly did the Friday night shop about 9.00pm through the winter to get them for a pot of soup. Chickens were cooked but perfect for the next day.thanks
i'd rather buy my own chicken
you do have to buy 2 don't you, i saw someone post earlier to only buy one and couldn't understand why, they're on multi buy in Asda 2 for £3 , am i cracking under the pressure?0 -
No chicken or peppers. They have a sachet with the powder that you add to your chicken and heat up. Then they have a sauce to serve with the fajitas. My wife is fond of them - by some sour cream to give a nice blend with the sauce. That finishes them off nicely.
As for the chicken and peppers being included in the mix....I think you are looking for a pot noodle if you want it all in the same packet.
Yeh the fajita packs are amazing, and the spice bbq mix is really good. I made some about 2 weeks ago and added all sorts: peppers, chilli, onions, mushrooms, sweetcorn, cheese and of course chicken. I had my reservations at first, because i dont really like bbq flavouring, but it was pleasantly good. I left the sauce though and only used that when i was making enchiladas. I have to say that was my first time trying mexican food and im now a fan.0 -

Hi all
Just caught up! My, this thread is funny this evening.... :rotfl:
So, back from my latest foray to T... used all 6 vouchers from the last few days at one till, the SA was adorable and really excited about the vouchers! Bless! Finally got some racks of lamb :j (going into freezer for Mother's Day dinner) and also some L'Oreal toner, Betty Crocker (but forgot to use the 30p vouchers, duh) and more Olay AP serum.
I couldn't think what else to get then, and ended up getting more Gillette PG razors... I now have 'a few' of them, meaning that OH and I and our families will be sorted for razors for a long time! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Just about to enter my receipt details now, more vouchers here I come!Just a little thought I had earlier today!!
With so many people doing extra shops because of the dtd and they are getting the vouchers for schools, this will mean that Tesco will be issuing more vouchers than they normally would and will cost them even more money!!!
My sister and I seem to have lots of them recently.!!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:It must be so nice to be able to shop where you like regardless of cost or budget. Thank you sooo much for highlighting that you are so much better off than the rest of us and rubbing our noses in the fact.
Some people on here can't afford the basics of life and struggle to pay bills and rent . My mother often went without food herself to ensure we ate a decent meal.
Thank you for showing us how the other half live it is so educational to be shown how poor and worthless we are just for trying that little bit extra to make our money stretch.
Very well put kelbag - and crystaltipps too. :T
LOL at the YouTube video, :rotfl: and the post quoting yummyscrummymummy's 27 La Redoute orders! As for YSM herself, no correspondence will be entered into (by me).KentishLady wrote: »Ok back from my evening DTD shop. As we arrived and walked past the cust service desk one of the people spoke into the Tannoy saying "CODE RED to customer service desk", me being me thinks OMG they have spotted me and know I am a DTDer!!
Spent the rest of the time thinking they are spying me on the CCTV cameras!
Anyway.
The plan was me to do one shop, hubby to do the other. Gave him his shopping list - but he was hopeless. I ended up having to go find the shopping and putting in the trolley for him. Last item to go in his trolley was the loo rolls. He's there standing right next to the value bog rolls going "Which ones is it you need me to get?" Loudly, right next to the person who is filling up the shelves. Then when we went to the meat aisle (cos I thought I'd go take a look at those racks of lamb) he's there chattering away to the guy working on the meat aisle. So much for trying to stay incognito!
We eventually made our way to seperate (but adjoining) tills. I put my shop through fine, voucher scanned OK - very nice SA who asked for her supervisor to assist (though one of the questions she asked was "do I put this through at half the price?" ummmmm no - the full amount please thinks me!). I then rolled round to the next door checkout to help hubby to pack "his" shopping. Comes to £20.20 (as calculated by moi) and to my horror, instead of pulling out his £20 voucher to pay (carefully previously placed in his wallet by his wife), he pulls out a crisp £20 note!!!!! I didn't know what to do!
So i kept quiet til we got our shopping back to the car. After telling him he was an idiot for not paying with his voucher I sighed. Oh well. Now I will have 3 DTD shops on the go.

PS I won't be taking hubbie in future!
PMSL :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Why are OHs so bad at DTDing???? I don't let mine anywhere near my vouchers lol.
lizzielondon - OMG, you must have had a heart attack!!!! :rotfl:

I've seen it couple of days ago but probably Tesco will refuse to compare because of different description... Might try with my normal weekly shop tough...0 -
My OH managed to reduce my DTD voucher from £19 odd to £10 by veering off the list and adding things he fancied trying, never got DTD on my 3 uncle bens as he managed to choose ones that were N/A on Asda and deciding he fancied heinz beans and sausages rather than snap pots. All my careful planning come to nothing.:(0
