Can anyone answer this question pretty please :) Keeps getting lost as thread moving so fast lol!
Anyone else doing this with their online shops? Do they send an online voucher for DTD?
I have added about 4 DTD items, my shop will arrive tomorrow. I can make changes till 9 in the morning so I am thinking I will double check that T prices have not gone down and if they have I will take them out of my basket. The won't change prices midday right?

You can do it with an online shop but if you,ve got a full shop you might find the different prices between Mr T and Mr A cancel themselves out as it's based on the total shop. I think it's easier to do smaller specific DTD shops.

    *** DEAL ***

    073791.jpg?ts=634075709984

Birds Eye Steam Bags Broccoli Carrots & Sweetcorn

    (4 per pack - 540g)

    MR T - £1.75 X 3 = £5.25

    MR A - (3 FOR £3.00) = £3.00

    DTD = £4.50

    NET COST = 75p = 25p PER PACK

That's ok.. I'm sure you can spare a thought for those farmers which will go out of business as you all rack up your freezers with frozen meat as tescos squeeze them some more to cope with the sudden loss in profits because im sure they wont absorb the sudden extra costs.

So is the meat farmers sell Tesco unhealthy then? as that was your earlier point wasn't it, that we were buying up all the cornettos?

You also mentioned thieving but earlier go on about how Tesco will squeeze the margins tighter, maybe your local butcher, green grocer, baker etc would appreciate some of your cold hard cash as opposed to hypocritical hot air....

Be aware that the DTD is worked out over the WHOLE shop, not on individual items!
Regarding online, if you get a voucher you can use it for your next shop either online or offline... if you want to use it online you have to order and pay then give it to the driver and hope Tesco keep their promise to refund it to your card :) HTH
I believe prices only change at midnight, no other times.

Ok back from my evening DTD shop. As we arrived and walked past the cust service desk one of the people spoke into the Tannoy saying "CODE RED to customer service desk", me being me thinks OMG they have spotted me and know I am a DTDer!!

Spent the rest of the time thinking they are spying me on the CCTV cameras!

    Anyway.

The plan was me to do one shop, hubby to do the other. Gave him his shopping list - but he was hopeless. I ended up having to go find the shopping and putting in the trolley for him. Last item to go in his trolley was the loo rolls. He's there standing right next to the value bog rolls going "Which ones is it you need me to get?" Loudly, right next to the person who is filling up the shelves. Then when we went to the meat aisle (cos I thought I'd go take a look at those racks of lamb) he's there chattering away to the guy working on the meat aisle. So much for trying to stay incognito!

We eventually made our way to seperate (but adjoining) tills. I put my shop through fine, voucher scanned OK - very nice SA who asked for her supervisor to assist (though one of the questions she asked was "do I put this through at half the price?" ummmmm no - the full amount please thinks me!). I then rolled round to the next door checkout to help hubby to pack "his" shopping. Comes to £20.20 (as calculated by moi) and to my horror, instead of pulling out his £20 voucher to pay (carefully previously placed in his wallet by his wife), he pulls out a crisp £20 note!!!!! I didn't know what to do!

So i kept quiet til we got our shopping back to the car. After telling him he was an idiot for not paying with his voucher I sighed. Oh well. Now I will have 3 DTD shops on the go.

    KL

PS I won't be taking hubbie in future!

how old are you for asking such things? FYI there isnt even a pizza express near me, if i got one i would of given it to someone else anyway which i always do if i find an offer like that..

i understand that both companies will have items cheaper than the other and thats just how it always will be. to go to the effort to base a whole shopping list on whats cheaper is ridiculous, i shop at tescos because its convinient. if waitrose or another more expensive place was closer id probably shop there. i dont see how my post indicated my unhappiness with either company? but yeh i still feel the same, i think its wrong what some of you are doing with basing your shopping list to get everything ultimately for free. if you look at most of the things people are finding its the branded mass produced items which are rather unhealthy but people are buying it just because its cheap/free..

I completely agree about Waitrose being the place to shop. I love the shopping experience there. I was once having a caffellatte in this fine establishment when I saw two peasants looking through the window. Thinking about it those peasants could probably have been many of the posters on this thread. It was cold outside and their snotters were dripping down the window. I shivered just looking at these two wretched souls. I asked the security guard to remove them and discreetly slipped him a rolled up fiver.

I was so disturbed from this experience that I left Waitrose that day without my expensive shopping. Fortunately I phoned customer services and someone had handed in my two bags of farmfoods shopping.

    also........

after the stress of actually using our vouchers for the first time ( got all the receipts back silly tesco people  - ripped up and thrown away now)

parked our car in our flat's carpark to find someone in our space...

saw what we thought was a dog jumping up and down in the back - and we thought who would leave a dog alone in a dark car?! - he's obviously been in there for ages and gone a bit stir crazy

however on closer inspection - no not a dog ... a couple going, ahem, at it :rotfl:

and the best bit they were so embarrassed he jumped back in the front seat to make a quick getaway and drove into/over a bush

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

What made you think they were dogs? Was it the style they were doing it? :D

they don't actually have the peppers and chicken in them do they?:D

    sorry i'm having a blonde moment!!!!:rotfl:

ps which "flavour" is it again-is it the tomato and pepper 2 for £3 in asda £2.99 in T???

    TIA

It's the Smokey ones not the tomato ones.

And you have to add the chicken and peppers, onions.....oh and we like sliced mushrooms in ours.
