That happened to me as well! Worrying because I put my card details in! I've had my vanquis for nearly a year, pay on time every month and had one increase! I got approved then rejected for capital one which was gutting!

AVOID these con artists... I got this card, used it once and then decided I would change the debit card payment to a Direct Debit instead. After spending 15 mins on the phone to someone that could barely speak English, I got this sorted.
Two mins later, she called me back and told me she had cancelled it as they are not allowed to accept Direct Debit as a form of repayment.
I then quoted her the section of their FAQ's on their website and asked to speak to her supervisor. to which she hung up on me.
I shall be cutting up the card and posting it back to them by recorded delivery tomorrow.

hi there, im looking for some advice regarding the rise credit card..
i applied an was apparently accepted, then they wanted my bank details and also my security code...i am wondering why they would need my security code? as im pretty sure its not required to set up a direct debit??
    thanks in advance

Hi stuart.s, the card details are not to set up a DD, they are a continuous payment auth of sorts ie not same amount each time, whatever the min payment is or the full balance, whichever you chose at the time of application. I set mine to do min amount, and make a manual payment to bring the balance down to about £20 just before my statement is due to be produced, that way I have a small rolling balance and pay hardly any interest (grand scheme is to increase credit rating). I do the same thing with my Aqua card. That way I am more likely to get a credit limit increase AND increase my credit score.

    CC limits £26000

    Long term CC debt £0

Total low rate loan debt £3000

    Almost debt free feeling, priceless.

Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.

    Hey..newbie here.

I've also been provisionally accepted and have read both good and bad reviews. But on a website it said they dont deal in cards anymore, so have they changed their name, and if so why email using Rise?

RISE and SHOUT are issued by the same company. I have read that someone was having their card changed from RISE to SHOUT so maybe they intend to rebrand all RISE cards as SHOUT cards...no difference though........
