Hypno I STILL can't get used to you talking about ironing in this way... But I would sooo love to be at a stage where I iron my clothes as soon as they are dry...unfortunately we are at the stage of looking through piles of clean clothes to decide what to iron and wear that day
its organised chaos where the clothes are concerned

I beat that today......and ironed my work blouses as soon as I took them out of the washing machine - then hung them up to finish drying......and of course they were much easier to iron when they were wet.
No, I didn't quite believe it either, but it is true :rotfl:

Hi Hypno
I hate ironing. Luckily my mum lives with us and as she cannot afford board she cleans the floors and does the ironing. DS1 who is 23 lives at home currently having finished uni last year. Anyway last year when he was at uni he used to bring his washing and ironing home for mum to do. She went to visit a sister abroad and DS1 friends asked who would do his ironing - his mum? 'Gosh no 'he said 'she is stumped too now that nan is away' lol.0 -

Morning all! A bit of teaching pay has gone into the bank, so has been moved over to the savings pot - my last workshop missed the cut off date for payroll, so a bit more to come next month, which is good.
My car is due in the garage today to have the brakes done - if it is not one thing it is another! But, it needs to be done, so I will keep my fingers crossed that it is not ridiculously expensive. Can't skimp on safety, though, so what will be will be.....even if it is paid for through gritted teeth!!
I hope you all have a good day, whatever it brings you!!

I share your pain with the car me dear ... Had to get ours done at the weekend .... Still got more to get done but didnt have enough for everything
Hope u slept well0 -
I too have other stuff that needs doing to the car, El, but the brakes take priority - everything else can wait!
As for sleep....hmm.......I was just writing on DDFW's diary that the problem with the clocks going forward is that my insomnia now kicks in at 4am instead of 3am......which is pants because by the time I finally get back to sleep, it is time for my alarm to go off at 5.45.....
Oh well, coffee, a long hot shower, and some porridge will help kickstart the insomnia recovery. I hope!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
