Yes, I saw yours on fb this morning! It is a lovely idea, that's for sure.

So....my day.....well, the kids are with their dad of course, so I have an unusual Sunday to myself. Will pop into town with a girlfriend for coffee and window shopping I think. Perhaps some more of the clubcard deals vouchers will be used for lunch

And of course, Hobbs sale needs a little peek at.......

Make sure you add up your purchases before you get to the till (I know, granny & eggs etc!) - some of the stock is from last year and is scanning at original price :eek:

Thanks gally - we only have a couple of hobbs concessions in big department stores, rather than "proper" shops, so not sure how much choice there will be......but I will FORCE myself to have a look, just to make sure I am not missing out on anything

Hi lucielle - nothing in the hobbs sale grabbed me:eek: So a bit of money saved there. I did pick up some bits in Hollister though - t-shirts to see me through the summer, and a couple of pairs of cheap sandals in Next. So, not a lot of money spent at all really, but a reasonable amount bought.

We also had a lovely breakfast in Carluccio's which has recently opened in town - if anyone hasn't been and there is one near you, do try them out - it was amaaazing!

General mooching took place, and it was a nice few hours, before heading home for the usual rounds of washing, cooking, etc etc etc....!

Payday is later this week, so the last few £££ in my purse have to last just a few days longer. I am hoping to meet a friend for lunch today and it is my turn to pay, but that will be fine....after that, it will be lunches from home until the end of the week. We have a fair bit in the house for storecupboard meals too, so all ok there - tonight will be shepherds pie

Hi Hypno,
Just seen your comments about photos and no scanner - my DD uploaded lots of copies of photos and when we quizzed her she said that she'd just used the digital camera to take a photo of them. Worth a try as DDs worked well.

I did think about giving that a try too, Keggie.....DD is far better at all things photographic than I am so I will set her on a task one of these days!

oh yes, treats aplenty nowadays! And still savings being built up, so it is not all at the expense of all things sensible

I have decided that this week is going to be a domestic goddess type week - I have little planned, apart from work, until the end of the week, so I want to have a spring clean.....:eek:

I have made a good start, and quite enjoying it. Of course, it is a whole lot easier than in the past, simply because I keep the place a lot more orderly now, and there is not so much clutter, but some of the yukky "easy to forget" jobs are getting done, such as cleaning out the washing machine filter/soap tray, and cleaning the cooker hood filters,.......niiiiiice!

A bit of ironing beckons now, once I have poured myself the accompanying glass of wine :cool:

Life is still good :T
