So, Monday morning is here again and another week is upon us. Had a lovely afternoon yesterday and a lazy evening following it. Am fighting off a bit of a summer cold, but in the grand scheme of things am not so bad.

Moneywise, 2 and a half weeks til payday - so far so good, but plenty in my diary so need to make sure I don't take my eye off the ball (or the envelopes) otherwise I could easily be short towards the end of the month.

So, generally speaking, all is well in my world. Shame the sun isn't shining today, but the place does feel a whole lot fresher for having had a bit of overnight rain.

Thanks chev. There have been many times over the last few years when I thought that things would or could never improve. Sadly, it has taken two rather big events in my life, ie losing my dad and the breakdown of my marriage for me to make those changes. But it does, if nothing else, show that just because life seems dominated by crap times, it is not always going to be that way.

I have always been a firm believer in things happening for a reason, and that sometimes the best decisions are those that are made for you - and this would seem to hold true for me!

I will not, however, get complacent. Hence the reason I stay on DFW even though I don't post so much, and even though I am spending money on things that would make some people weep who are currently struggling day to day. I know how easy it would be to get back to the dark times.

One day at a time - I am learning that one, and it is paying dividends so far.
