I do love mine - I have to admit!

So, last night went out with some friends - very relaxed, unexpected, and just a nice evening....unlike some of my friday nights of months gone by - there was no pressure here, (which I know I put on myself) and I had a surprisingly good time.

Today was a lazy morning due to said Friday night....and then to the football, via the pub with the guys of course, and a good result for us which is always worth having. Only had a quick drink after and came home....tired and feeling a bit "meh" for some reason....probably just tiredness and stuff from the last week or so catching up with me.

An early night I reckon...bit of telly and something to eat, then off to bed. Hope you are all having a good weekend x

I do NOT follow soccer but I am now conscious of how Norwich City is doing! See what a corrupting influence you are?

I'm glad things appear to be settling down again. Things do go in cycles - remember the lyrics of "Turn, turn." I know it was taken from the Bible and I'm not conventionally religious but it ends :

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time of peace, I swear it's not too late!

    Hang in there!
But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

Very apt words, tricia xx And sorry if I am subjecting you to all things NCFC!!

So....had an early night, which was just as well because I was woken in the early hours with the gales happening outside. The wind seems to have dropped a bit, and the sun has come out so I hope it is a lovely day.

I am heading off to the gym shortly, then out for lunch with my nana which is long overdue :o and then hopefully a fairly relaxed late afternoon/evening ahead of what I know is going to be a very full on and intense week at work.

I hope you are all having a good weekend.

So....had a wobble this morning when my car wouldn't start and I thought I was going to have to curtail all plans for the day.....but managed to get it sorted as XOH had to pop by with DS to collect his football kit that he had forgotten, so was able to jump start the bloomin thing.

So, did a slightly shorter workout at the gym than I had hoped, but upped the intensity so still worked v hard, before heading to Nana's. She took me out for lunch - her treat, but she clearly didn't enjoy her food, so I felt bad about her paying, and ended up doing so myself....more taken out of my meagre budget, but it was the right thing to do, so will adjust accordingly throughout the rest of the month.

Came home and had a friend pop by for coffee which was lovely. Now about to embark on a very lazy evening.

Thanks taxi - managed to get another early night in, although took ages to get to sleep (or that is how it felt, at least!) but do feel reasonably refreshed this morning, so hoping that I am getting myself back into some sort of sync.

Today I am going to focus on work. That might sound odd, given that I am at work, so therefore should be focusing on it.....but with lots of other stuff crowding my head recently, I feel that I need to perhaps elevate work today and really give it the attention it deserves. That probably makes no sense, but I know what I mean!

Then tonight I am giving blood, and then off to my burlesque class.

Moneywise, I have bought a dress for the office party.....and some shoes from the LK Bennett Ebay outlet (bad Sallyx pointing me in that direction!).....but today one of the girls at work has brought in 2 dresses for me, both with definite potential (have only tried them on in the office loos, and no full length mirror around), so will take them home and try properly, and that could mean one of them would replace the dress I have bought and I could get a refund......although the new shoes wouldn't go with either of these "new" dresses......so I will be forced to hang onto them as things of beauty for another day! We shall see!

Right, so because I am focussing on work today, I really need to get off here!

    Happy Monday everyone x
