My £183 does have to do all 3 of us though....it is not going to be easy when I am faced with a couple of quid here and there for the children on a regular basis!

So, one plan of attack is the use of the NSD. I have, essentially £6 a day available to me. If I don't spend it, then it can obviously carry over to another day where it will be a big help.

So, today, was my first NSD. Milk came out of the grocery budget, and DS football subs were already accounted for. But nothing else was spent.

    That is the way forward.

    And I can do this!

I hope you're not letting this get on top of you.

Yes, you can do it. Now breathe and relax and flow with it.

I would be lying if I said I was just letting it all happen easily. I am trying not to let it get on top of me, but there is no denying that I am finding things a little difficult to deal with at times! There are changes at work for me too - I will be taking on much more in the next couple of weeks and need to make that all work.

Still, I got a fairly early night last night, and managed a good nights sleep so that is good. I will hit the gym tonight after work, which will be good for clearing the head a bit too.

Have a good day, everyone x

The fact XOH is being a knob, is no reflection on you. Things are going to be tight, and I suppose you're a bit weary with dealing with that - but deal with that you will. Don't worry about it - save your worry for stuff that'll change if you worry about it. Think of it like driving: You're sending tons of steel around at high speed within inches of other tons of steel moving at high speed, and it's an every-day occurrence. Scary if you think about it, which is why nobody ever does...

You'll be fine. You wouldn't have gotten that job if other people thought you couldn't do it.

The benefits are sore legs, sweatiness, chafing, and a desire to go to the loo...

Yes, I think weary is a good description, Z.....but of course the reality is that it could be, and indeed has been, a whole lot worse. I do have to keep things in perspective.

Lucielle, I will do the extra on the treadmill for you this evening.....and will take extra vaseline for the chafing if it helps.....

All in all, life is not so bad. Plenty of good points to offset the not so good.

    :)

Not in terms of salary, V, sadly....although it may come in due course if I can prove myself, but in terms of status in the office, I definitely see it as a step up.

ZTD got it spot on I reckon. You will do it - your track record shows that - but understandable that it gets to you sometimes. But you are in such a strong position compared to just a few years ago - and are moving ever forwards. :)
