So....Friday is here again! This week seemed to be very slow moving at the start of the week, but somehow we are here already!

Today I am being taken to London for a birthday treat.....very much looking forward to that. So have had a tiny lie in and have a couple of hours to myself before I am picked up and whisked away.

The need to budget has intensified - Ex-OH has announced he has stopped maintenance for DD now that she has left college. I have many thoughts on the situation, but won't repeat them here. You can get the general gist though.....

Still, we WILL manage. And I will hold my head high and say that I do whatever I can, to the very best of my parenting ability. If he can do the same, then all well and good.....

mini-rantette over. I am going to have a fabby day. Don't anyone step in my way :rotfl:

Hi Hypno! Have a lovely, lovely birthday weekend!

And, you know ... you've worked so hard to be fair to exOH, even on here, your own space. I'm really surprised he'd do this to you. Loving what you've said about doing things to the best of your parenting ability :kisses3:

No doubt the fabulous board she is paying will more than make up for it . My ex did this (though kids were still at school - when Mr GG and I bought a house together he decided I had more money than him ). I looked at CSA but as I wasn't on benefits they weren't interested. I just told people he had stopped it & when they asked why I told them what he had said (I was on a low wage at the time, which all friends & family knew) but that I wasn't prepared to use the children as a weapon by dragging him through the courts.

The moral high ground was mine :A.

    Have a great day :D

Absolutely. If he feels comfortable with it all, then who am I to argue....

Well done Hypno - although I can just imagine the thoughts going through your head (and quite possibly coming out of your mouth :p) The lovely Pippi has a nicely polite phrase for such situations - 'silly daddy' (my own mother had something similar unfortunately). What nonsense. But good on you for rising above it. Hope DD is enjoying her job! xx
