Morning all - a new week.....last week was very eclectic - what will this one bring :rotfl:

Today I have already booked the day off as had arranged to meet P for lunch and a catch up. We will still do that, but we have rearranged the location for the meet so that it is more en route to Gatwick, which is where I will be heading late afternoon to collect DS, so still a nice day planned, albeit not as I was intending.

I had booked train tickets for the original trip to see P.....need to see if I can refund them, but probably won't be able to. Not the end of the world, just a minor annoyance.

A friend posted this on facebook last night and it really made me smile. I've reposted it on fb this morning but for those of you that don't head in that direction, I've put it on here - hope it makes you smile too :)

So.....yesterday was a long day. But DS is home, very bruised as some of you will have seen from the fb photo I posted, and will be checked out today. He was not in bad spirits though, all things considered, so that was a welcome relief!

Had a lovely afternoon with P....met her at Bluewater, which of course was very dangerous, as after my lows of Sunday I indulged in the form of therapy known as shopping.

    With money I don't really have :o

    Still, I have nice things.

And I did use clubcard vouchers for lunch.....

I will assess the financial damage sometime today, and work out the plan of action.

So, today is a "bad hair day".....with the need for much caffeine and concealer.....lots of "stuff" to be dealt with today. One of those days - deep breath and attack it......

Its not all bad - I went to a fab gig with a mate last night. I was a rock chick for a few hours. Much needed, and it was an impromptu thing too, so even better.

Today I also need to address finances - with flights etc, not to mention shopping with P, I have spent way too much. And it is still 4 weeks til payday :o Time to batten down the hatches.

    Have a good one xxx

Glad you had a good day the other day with P. Sounds like you bought essentals to me.... You're legend around these parts for hatch battening so am sure you'll get it all back under control quickly! :)

Hope today goes OK - sounds like a tough one - hang in there.

Ok, so yesterday was survived. It was one that was accompanied by a huge headache all day, but hey, some days are like that. Slept well last night, so that will help.

Still haven't looked at the money situation though - need to do so before it gets into a "head in the sand" scenario.....that would not do any good whatsoever :o

Lots going on - some good, some bad, some confusing! Some within my control that only I can deal with and some that are completely out of my control, like my oldest friend being in hospital with meningitis :(. So, like I say, lots of "stuff".....my head is quite cloudy at the mo. But it is reminding me that life is too short.....and that is never a bad thing to remember, despite the circumstances, if that makes sense.

    Have a good one x
