Always love to hear fans who truly love their club, in good times and bad :T And just because I am a lifelong United fan doesn't mean the same doesn't apply to me! Went to my first game in '74, in the old second divison! Am loving derby day - although I feel a little bit sick :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0

Yup, through thick and thin, shoe gal!
I love derby days - sadly we don't have one this year.....there is nothing like Norwich v Ipswich to get the adrenaline rushing. And of course last season we beat them 4-1 at home and 5-1 away. Happy days :rotfl:
Enjoy the match this afternoon!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Norwich fans have been frequently cited as providing amazing away support. It is superb to hear it on the radio or on the tv as the match is on - gives me goosebumps.
It is good stuff, stuff that dreams are made of really - many of our players had to have "proper jobs" when they started - none of this being brought through the ranks of an academy straight into a big club. There has been a fair bit of ground work in the non-league clubs, combined with fitting in a 9-5 job to pay the bills for our boys.
Grant Holt is one of those examples - to properly work his way through the ranks, to then score at Stamford Bridge, and in front of the Kop.....thats the stuff dreams are made of - no primadonnas in our club, just hard graft and determination.
Love it
As a Toon fan with a nosebleed from being in the heady heights of fourth, I agree with you in all that you saidNorwich are my second club this season (I always pick one of the promoted ones) and I'm having a ball watching them. It's lovely to see a club where the support are just thrilled to be there, instead of b*tching and whining when things don't go their way because they think they're a better club than they're showing themselves to be *coughArsenalcough*

And just as I think things are more or less going to plan, DS's coach rings me from France to say he can't ski. He was tackled in football at school during the week and had a nasty bruise, but nothing horrific. Seems it has developed, now he can't get his boots on, so can't ski.
Have spent money I don't really have, on a flight home tomorrow. Gutted for him, because it was probably his only skiing this year. Gutted for me, because I can't afford it really.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I know. It just dealt me a blow. Just as I thought I was getting on top of all this crap.

Forgive me if this is a stupid thing to say but could he not still have stayed for the week? His foot may have gone down in 48 hours, he may still enjoy the atmosphere and the evenings with his friends?0

The frustration of watching your mates go and do the thing you love, while you are stuck in the hotel on your own is worse than coming home. Listening to them at the end of the day raving about the adrenaline while you remind yourself you watched 27 DVDs.....
nah, home is the best thing for him. I trust his coach - his coach says not to ski on it, so that's that.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
