Not a bad Saturday at all - pottered around the house this morning, before heading to the gym, which was good. Then to the pub to watch the match - an excellent draw against Liverpool which I will happily take, thank you very much. Then off to meet a girlfriend for a drink elsewhere - I was driving so was cost effective for me, so a decent day/evening but without breaking the bank.

I think this is sadly, more a reflection on Liverpool. Not to denigrate Norwich at all, but we are not the team we used to be :(

No, that's fair enough. Liverpool were the better team on the day, with more chances on goal - the woodwork was on our side, but we also had a couple of cracking saves by our keeper. The scoreline could have been very different. But it wasn't.

The good thing, though, is that everyone had written off Norwich before the season started - 2 years ago we were in League 1.......surely we can't survive the prem. (even though it is not that long since we were there last).

And we absolutely refuse to go down without giving it our all - and that is proving itself. 9 games so far, of which 3 wins and 3 draws. Currently 7th in the table. Have been ahead of clubs like Arsenal, and Everton, all season, and have pushed clubs like Chelsea and Man U all the way in our away matches with them.

Yes, those clubs may be saying they're not having the best of seasons. That they are not the clubs they used to be, should be. That's football. You have good times, and bad - as a NCFC supporter I certainly know THAT!!

It is down to 90 mins on the day - a scrappy goal, a bit of poor defending, or some outright passion for the game and sheer grit and determination not to go down with a thrashing from the big boys.

And, our supporters provide some of the best away support ever. We deserve a point just for outsinging the home crowds :D

Whatever the rest of the season holds, and I am sure it will be a rollercoaster of a winter, my boys are not the walkover they were written off as being at the beginning of August.

    OTBC :D

Norwich fans have been frequently cited as providing amazing away support. It is superb to hear it on the radio or on the tv as the match is on - gives me goosebumps.

It is good stuff, stuff that dreams are made of really - many of our players had to have "proper jobs" when they started - none of this being brought through the ranks of an academy straight into a big club. There has been a fair bit of ground work in the non-league clubs, combined with fitting in a 9-5 job to pay the bills for our boys.

Grant Holt is one of those examples - to properly work his way through the ranks, to then score at Stamford Bridge, and in front of the Kop.....thats the stuff dreams are made of - no primadonnas in our club, just hard graft and determination.

    Love it :D

Been a lifelong supporter - used to go with my Dad. It is just that in the lean MSE/sad married years, it wasn't an option for various reasons.

Practically the first thing I did after XOH announced he was leaving was to buy a season ticket.

    :D
