    Your bus driver is FAB!

Hope you get a bit of relaxation in this weekend and plenty of laughs although it's nice to see you manage that regularly now

    Thanks Funnyflipp

This weekend is quite busy - tomorrow is haircut and a trip to the salon for de-fuzzing the legs, then football, which of course involves pubs either side of the game.....and will be fab because one of my cousins, who I haven't seen probably since my Dad's funeral is going and will meet me beforehand. We are not a particularly close family, but FB has allowed some of us cousins to get back in touch, which is a really positive thing to come out of this whole "I'm living my life on a laptop" society that we have become :D

Then on Sunday, I have promised the kids that we will go to Thorpe Park - our annual passes run out next weekend, so we might as well try and get the most out of them for a cheapish and fun day out.

Am looking forward to it - and the sun is supposed to make an appearance too I think!!

And so, according to la loi de murphy (or s*ds law, as I prefer to call it), the day didn't proceed in the way in which it started.....

.....carrying a tray of coffee mugs (thankfully not full, but with sufficient dregs of cold coffee to make one helluva mess) I fell down the stairs at work - took the bannister off the wall in the process, threw coffee up said walls, and all over my suit and blouse, broke at least one mug, and generally looked rather stupid as I sat in the middle of the stairs surrounded by debris, and trying not to cry :o

Nothing (other than the mugs and the bannister) broken, thankfully, but a few bruises, and I will certainly be a bit sore tomorrow, but otherwise will be fine - so had a lucky escape.

And, work very kindly expensed me a new dress, so I am at least not sat here in a coffee stained suit for the rest of the day. I am very lucky to work in such a place. Every cloud, and all that!

Hope you are all having a good day!

Ouch hypno! :( so sorry to hear about your whoopie but am glad it wasn't worse!

and v nice of work to come to the rescue, but not unreasonable in the circumstances - I should think they were very glad you weren't injured for all sorts of other reasons as well as just being nice!

Hope the bruises aren't too nasty tomorrow and you aren't too shocked - sometimes it takes a little while for that to subside!

Thanks - am fine, just bruised. Was a little tearful for a couple of hours, but am ok now. Ibuprofen, chocolate and coffee are the order of the day!

Boy am I looking forward to going out tonight!! Roll on 5.30
