So....confession time. I have spent a silly amount of money on the Dior counter today on various serums, moisturisers and foundation type stuff.

In my defence, I have used up my old stuff.....and have been surviving on testers for a while to ensure that I do not spend money on something that doesn't work for me, and so I know that what I have bought is what I need and in the right combination, so therefore no pots/jars/bottles will be wasted.

It was quite good, being able to say "I know exactly what I want/need" because she didn't try the hard sell on other stuff that I would have had to resist.

So, could have been worse.....and I have justified it financially by not having to pay my council tax this month :rotfl:

Sounds like a good justification to me :D

  • I think it was definitely a well-deserved treat. Hmm, that reminds me, I haven't had my council tax bill yet. Maybe I should give them a call. :o

More expense - have just returned from buying DS a new ski helmet as his has literally fallen apart......but again, it is one of those things that cannot be skimped on, so better safe (and costly) than sorry!

Do you reckon I could get away with not paying my council tax next month too :rotfl:

Oh no - I have just seen in Moneysaving news that Egg are not offering any credit cards to new customers.

Seems I won't ever be able to have an Egg card again then. Such a shame :rotfl:
