*Steals gin from gallygirl but doesn't offer a kiss in exchange*

Excellent! I'm glad to see you have all been busy while I've been at the spa.

Nice drinks, girls. Any more of those croissants? Hmm...they don't really go with gin. *Pulls out Melton Mowbray pork pies, sausage rolls, crisps, houmous and dipping vegetables*

Wow, even as a stoodent, I never managed this! :D

**battles through clingfilm to make sure Jonny hasn't been driven to exhaustion**

Soo........bloody hot in the South of France - over 40degrees for the last few days, and no sign of it breaking yet.

that means it is too hot to do much else than laze by the pool under the palm tree, with my assortment of books and the sun cream

I've ventured only to Antibes....which was beautiful, with that weird mix of gorgeous old town with the gaudiness of the uber-rich. Tomorrow we will go to Cannes in the evening - too hot to be walking around in the day.

Moneywise, I have spent more than I expected so far - who doesn't when on holiday - but on unavoidable things like more suncream and insect repellant as we are just storming through bottles of the stuff. I have simply raided the driving lesson pot of money and will replenish it in time if it is needed (I put plenty in there in the first place to allow her to fail a couple of times.....no pressure now then for the poor girl!!).

Tanwise - all is going well.....subject to the continued replenishment of the suncream supplies.....

And generally, I'm not doing a lot - trying to properly recharge those batteries. I've watched some sport on the tv in the bar, but have stayed away from the news, newspapers, the state of the FTSE etc etc etc......I can deal with all that when I get back.

Right.....mid hols report over......take Care of Mr Depp for me - he is a great help around the house ;) and I would hate to have him scared off.....

Oh, and benben, I notice you baggsed yourself the easy job of tackling my ironing pile. That would be the ironing pile that no longer exists as it is my new favourite hobby since I moved house.......BUSTED :p
