I'm really glad things went ok for you happyshopper. I was thinking about you.
I didn't drink at my dad's funeral because I was so busy looking after everyone including my mum and my brother who both got very drunk. Now - years later I can remember everyone who was there and all the lovely things they said about my dad - unlike my brother who has almost no recollection of the day at all.
"Still on schedule to make 66% of the year AF, my original Jan target." - I'm very impressed with your 66% target - Well done. I'd like to aim for something like that.0 -

With you there. The SNC has made it really easy to stop drinking in the week but at the weekend it's another story all together and right now I can't see a way of breaking the cycle
I've uploaded an app on my phone where I can keep a record of the number of units I'm drinking each day (last night I had 6)....I'm a spirits drinker and home measures tend to be on the large size but I'm now using a measuring cup to keep that in check...I never knew a single was sooooo small, I'm hoping if nothing more I can keep my weekend drinking to moderate levels.

Hi All
Thank you all for being so supportive. I've got my worst shift today, 2-9, and I'm already worrying about BabyR. I think I'll stick with the job until xmas then go back to being a mum. Then I can see if he sticks with the "I'm stopping drinking after xmas" that he keeps saying.
Gardenanna & Caramelcaron MrR is exactly the same. 29 units in 2 days would be nothing to him, and he definitely won't let the supply run out.
HS I'm glad the day went well for you.
I've got a horrible cold so I'm off to infect as many customers as possible this afternoon!!

. Almost as soon as I took my coat off this evening I had poured myself a glass of wine and heaved a sigh of relief. I have an almost Pavlonian reaction to the end of the week - Alcohol! There wasn't for me. I hoped for years that I'd be able to control my drinking. Hope was not enough.....
Thus I needed to change myself so I didn't have the desire to drink.
My alcoholism is incurable, progressive, and fatal.
If I didn't stop drinking, it would get worse, not better, and eventually kill me. It would also deprive my children of a father, my wife of a husband etc.0 -
2 AFD in December and can I be put down for the full monty SNC please? x0
-
erm....well.....December not exactly off to the AF flying start that I was hoping for ! Was AF on Friday but that's it so far.
I am not too cross with myself however, as on both Sat & Sun, the wine was with meals and was only 2/3 glasses. I didn't finish a bottle on either occasion - HURRAH ! Thats definitely progress for me :rotfl:
So, only 1 AFD for Dec so far thanks Shaggy.
Please put me down for 3 nights this week on the SNC please bearacus.
Have a good week all.

Nothing to report but haven't been going wild. Yesterday I had one small glass of red wine, I enjoyed it so it wasn't a waste of an AFD!
Sign me up for the Full Monty please Bearacus.Have a good day!
