 Just a quick hello from me. I'm back from holiday and seem to have brought sunny weather back with me!
Indeed. You really have. It's Hotter than July quite literally!
Enjoy! What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

That's awesome. Well done.
I can't remember, but I don't think I've hit 24 for years. 21-22 is about my most since I found this thread. I don't really know what happened to me - it's like someone switched a switch - I don't "bother" (I know, this sounds weird) craving alcohol because I know I'm not going to have any. I haven't even had many "weak" moments where I am close to buckling.
Not counting any chickens, as 27 is a very high target for me for October. Can we just take it as read I didn't mean to offend you?0 -

AF FOR OCTOBER PLEASE. 31 DAYS.
Well, the first day of Oct, and here we go, a revised target of a month alcohol free. I seriously need a detox, and the effect on weight-loss is obvious.
At this stage, I'm starting to feel a touch ashamed of myself, as I used to be ten and a half stone, and have gained two stone in two years  Part of that is anti-depressants, but a bigger part is surely those familiar weekend drinks, and midweek bottle of wine.
Over the last few weeks, I've upped my cardio, gone on bike rides, and OH and I are off on a nice long bike ride today. Trying to get out of the mentality of 'rewarding' self for exercise.
Plus, I just want to feel healthier. I absolutely refuse to buy a bigger dress size - v. dispiriting. So, one target I think may be manageable will be a month without alcohol - if only to kick start weight loss proper!
I'll pop in here most days. I was initially v. sceptical of what a thread could do, but now, wouldn't want to come in and say I've been AF if I haven't - I'd feel a bit embarrassed and let myself down.
Good luck to everyone else'We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. '

Barcode i just did this for September...i've been struggling away at Fat Fighters since the beginning of August...lost a couple of pounds (4 to be exact) and then did dry September....i have now lost just on a stone. Only difference was not drinking.
Cruelly, i can drink tonight but we have OH's kids for the weekend and i think its shabby to drink when they are here...so the first drink we can have is tomorrow night - but i don't want to go out for dinner 'cos my weigh in is on Monday:rotfl:
Good luck everyone for October!!0 -
Well, after a great start in September I fell of the wagon a bit towards the end (and went AWOL from here!) I think I had four more drinking days since I last updated, the last one was at a two day work conference and ended up with quite a lot of us drinking quite a lot on the first night... So I think I ended September on 24/30.
Anyway, I'm going to start again for October. I want to do at least the first 14 days straight but set myself a total target of 28 days AF in October that will allow me to have the odd night of going out and having only a couple of drinks in a social situation.
Barcode, I lost about 5 pounds in September without trying, just by not drinking. I was still eating loads (including large bars of fruit and nut chocolate to replace my glass of wine at home in the evening!). It is amazing how much just cutting down out the booze helps. I hope this works for you too.
