Dozens of phones in £30-£500 price range can be used for accessing facebook.
Probably even cheaper ones can do the job.

yes I realise that:) I just want a few options so I can narrow my search a little. Must be easy to use, suitable for Tesco payg. I text a lot more than i phone. I'm a bit overwhelmed at the amount of choices available.

What's your budget? I could say buy an iPhone4 but if you can't afford it then it's pointless.

I would have thought the blackberry overkill IMO.

Have a feel for the phones and see what they are like. If you do a lot of texting then the way a phone responds and feels will be important to you.

  • I wonder about the LG Pop GD510.

This might meet your needs and be reasonably priced. On offer at Tesco at the moment.

I've never had one but at the price it might be worth a punt. The only negative is that it isn't 3G so might be slow on Facebook & similar.

Also does your Tesco PAYG tariff give reasonable data costs ?

The Orange San Francisco is good, for rather more money but would require unlocking to work on Tesco and doesn't seem to bequite as "simple" as you need.

I am on Tesco Mobile too
I usually think that a Android mobile phone is the best, like someone mentioned the Orange San Francisco, or even the original HTC Wildfire, seems good for your budget, Mixed reviews on which of the two are the better model.

Tescos only gives 500mb of free internet a month so you might also want to download a data counter from the market, especially if you start to use the internet, youtube.... later on
