What happens on an internet forum may not be what people would disclose in direct communication.

I'm happy to discuss things far more openly in here than I would in real life.

    True.

I suppose those who feel rather smug about their own lives might keep quiet amongst others in the real world, but get some kind of "kick" from boasting on an internet forum. Personally, I choose to keep a few things to myself, good and bad. I find it rather interesting that there are those who seem to make assumptions about others, and use them as a kind of "attack". I don't think they realise how childish or stupid it makes them appear. Perhaps they don't care. I have disclosed a few facts about my own personal/financial situation, but only when asked, or when it is really relevant to a debate. Sometimes people draw the wrong conclusions from these facts, and fill in the blanks themselves.

    A flight with Gneer:

"This is the pilot, we are now flying at 140,000 feet"
    Gneer "We're going to crash"
"This is the pilot, we are now flying at 150,000 feet"
    Gneer "We're going to crash"
"This is the pilot, we are now flying at 160,000 feet"
    Gneer "We're going to crash"
"This is the pilot, we are now flying at 170,000 feet"
    Gneer "We're going to crash"
"This is the pilot, we are now flying at 180,000 feet"
    Gneer "We're going to crash"

"This is the pilot, we are now flying at 150,000 feet"
"This is the pilot, we are now flying at 148,000 feet"
    Gneer "Told you so"
"This is the pilot, we are now flying at 150,000 feet"
Gneer "Yeah, but we crashed a while back"
"This is the pilot, we are now flying at 160,000 feet"
Gneer "Yeah, but you'll never recover from the crash and you are going to crash again"
"This is the pilot, we are still flying at 160,000 feet"
    Gneer ........

At least spell geener correctly if you are going to go to such lengths to ridicule him. Tsk.

I know how to spell it. He likes to spell my name wrong and I like to reciprocate. Sorry if it doesn't fit in with what you like grayham.

Pretty much just another shot in a 4 year obsessive campaign by poor old pimperni1.

Sadly, just another banal iteration of the “if you ignore the crash there’s been no crash” semantic masturbation he, and the rest of his ilk, have favoured since 2008.

Its easy to ignore the crash when there has been no crash.

:rotfl:No doubt something to do with "timing".
The bull boolsheet Raison d'être since the question "will there be a house price crash" was rather decisively answered.

Hey, I'm sure someone was talking about this before.
    Ah yes.

Either the plane(or is it a spaceship ?) has to land for servicing/fuel, or "Gneer" will be proved right.
