I believe he's actually a lot wealthier.
Therefore, obviously, a parasite.0 -

Thanks, the thought that I might be as wealthy as him has cheered me up. <Sarcasm>
The problem is, I don't know how wealthy he is, all I have got to go on is by what he types here, and I have found that plenty of what he does type is false.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -

Ouch.
Just bought a new TV (large), doesn't that exclude me from parasitic behaviour ?
It was bought with saved money, BTW.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -

Its like I've said before.
The fact that RenovationMan, Hamish et al are regularly compelled to tell everyone how well off they are is much more interesting than the announcements themselves.
From a pop psychology perspective it does reek of overcompensation.0 -

Exactly. If I were as "wealthy" as they claim to be, I don't think I'd be here telling everyone about it. I might be here debating and having some banter, but it seems a bit crude when they start waving their wad in front of you. I have as much respect for a wealthy person (and I have dealt with a few very wealthy people) and anyone else. When a wealthy (or self proclaimed wealthy) person starts flaunting it, it isn't pretty.
Reminds me of a certain Harry Enfield character from the past.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -

What happens on an internet forum may not be what people would disclose in direct communication.
I'm happy to discuss things far more openly in here than I would in real life.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
