Just took the ABS bulb out.
That fixed the problem.
Very VERY bad idea.....
Cars with ABS rely on the system a lot, when it's inactive you'll lock up the wheels under what would seem like normal braking.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Our Daewoo had disabled ABS due to a sensor malfunction for a few days (came on under a week before the MOT) and, sure enough, the car seemed to be prone to locking the front wheels under relatively heavy (though not normal) braking.
You're not going to lock the wheels up unless the tyres lose grip though. Any apparent 'reliance' on ABS in this case is just a function of the brakes being well assisted.0 -

 scary
Not at all. Ive always driven cars with no ABS fitted and make allowances for this. I drive an MGB now with no ABS and still have no problems. I dont want some stupid device doing something for me when Im driving. Ive always used phase braking in difficult situations since I started driving. The DWP = Legally kicking the Disabled when they are down.0 -
But it's not about just 'turning the ABS off'. In most vehicles the ABS unit provides information to other ECU's about wheel speed, brake balance etc. Vehicles with no ABS ever fitted is different to having ABS but allowing a fault to persist and just taking the bulb out. You are compromising other parts of the cars set-up.
There are 3 wheel cars out there, but if one falls off your 4 wheel car you don't just leave it, do you?!?:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things.
