Isn't Susan Forshaw the dinner lady who was with Jamie Oliver? I'm sure she is. I thought this programme wasn't bad. Why did they buy TWO chickens for six people? One would have done, just bulk it up with more veg! Or buy a bigger chicken for £5 and use up leftovers?
Ours is not to reason why!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Anyone seen the trailer?
She claims it's the show that - and I quote:
'It Pays To Watch'.

Not just the thread contents that they've ripped off, then.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Hmm watching episode two at the moment and it WAS going so well BUT then the tip to hand wash crystal?? Wow..... I always air dry my washing up as well.....I'm obviously a trend setter
. I would however like to see ONE challenge per programme and not two so they are more in depth with ore background on the participants..... it's treading into Spendaholics territory here only not quite as well. Still it is an improvement although I don't like the look of that hammock.....
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -

Been watching this with growing incredulity... Some of it just makes me think 'well, durr!' And the rest of it is just ridiculous. Who would really want that 'coffee table' in pride of place in their house? It's dreadful! OH and I regularly attend local auctions as he reconditions furniture as a bit of a hobby, and you can usually pick up beautiful items of furniture for a couple of quid - much better!0

the glass bowl candle idea is just plain dangerous. if heat builds up and the molten wax spreads across the width of that bowl it could combust!Wins: 2008: £606.10 2009: £806.24 2010: £713.47 2011: 328.320

Mr Rage made a table once (which our budgie at the time loved gnawing on) but it wasn't made out of a pallet LOL Yes, I thought that about the candle..... surely a heavy bottomed jam jar??? Liked the bit on the market "should I ask him how much everything is" - infront of the bank of prices... :rotfl: Dear me.......But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. I'd stopped watching this as I think it is such rubbish but I just watched a bit from last night's one about dog food. I am amazed and disgusted that they recommended Bakers dog food just because it was cheap. It is full of additives and colourings and vets will tell you how bad it is for your dog.
Someone I know put their dog on it and then complained that it was hyper and always scratching. I told her to change the food and miraculously the dog stopped being hyper and scratching!
Cheap food is a false economy as it is not good for the dog and often they need more than a better food. People will watch that and put their poor dogs on rubbish BakersThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
