    stupid programme.

Sorry, but that program is mostly ridiculous.
    Loads of really obvious tips dressed up as being astounding and the clothes/jewellery/makeup 'tips' are just silly;
    Last night:
'Make a really cool vest' - get an old t-shirt and just haphazardly cut the arms off, then haphazardly cut the neck bigger and c-r@ply handstitch it all round. Et viola! A scuzzy looking, plain and ill-fitting cool vest - wow!
Nails - get some clear nail varnish and pound shop glitter - paint and dip - and you have lots of women looking like they've gone to the local playgroup and asked the kids to do their nails for them. 'Salon quality' - cool! (Don't go to nail salons or even hairdressers for cuts meself, do it all at home).
Oh and the LEGWARMERS , oh dear Lord, the legwarmers.
Here's what you do - you know that old jumper you've got lying around that you managed to shrink in the wash? Yeah, well leave that to one side, get a really nice and really quite groovy jumper, like the one we've got here tonight, and CUT THAT ONE UP (criminal) to make some really 'king strange legwarmers. Dance around in an embarrassing way, lifting your legs up, whilst wearing your new legwarmers - cool!
Who the heck wears legwarmers now? They're not even 'retro' any more - never mind not even being practical!
And don't even get me started on toffo Kirsty's programs...
Sorry but Kirstie Allsopp is way better than those Silly superscrimpers. So do not dare insult her. I admire her and she is the kind of gal who will have a go at anything. So I am I a toffo?? As I sound exactly like her?

Just watched the Superscrimpers winter special (?) last 10 minutes.
low lights - a draught excluder from a jeans leg - did that in 1982.

Another old idea, making punched tin tealights out of a tin filled with ice. Sad to say that I laughed when the girl tried hammering in the first nail and the tin started to bend :o

    Yes then.

    In red - :rotfl:

Kirstie: "Let's all recycle and make lovely things. Anyone can do it! Now I'm going to visit a specialist craftsperson who's going to help me make some really expensive bespoke horrible curtains. Anyone can do it! Ooh - here's a streetmarket - I want those, can you do them cheaper? Money doesn't grow on trees you know. Unless you're me! Ooh look at this ugly thing I made! Bit of gingham, some big running stitches and an old ribbon off a chocolate box - gorgeous!.Anyone can do it!"

Sorry but you kind of asked for it! (You were joking, right?)

Certain people are just not credible when making money saving programmes, middle-class public school educated, well-off journalists/tv-personalities etc.
(Martin was an exception, he managed to keep his credibility, and hide how much money he was actually making, until not long ago...)

So I'm not the only one who thinks/feels that about the program. The nails, I'm sorry but craft glitter plus clear nail varnish or a poundstore set of nail varnishes, I'm not convinced at the 'salon quality' either. Things must be very desperate if you need to make a scabby vest out of a tshirt, why not just wear the tshirt or get primark vests and the legswarmers.....

I missed a bit as I was washing up, and would love to know how they did drinks for 20 at the party for £4.55. Can't have been very exciting!
