I got a VIOLATION notice from yahoo answers for telling people to visit moneyexpert,they said i was advertising??
What do you think?

Get a dictionary to spell violation LOL Sorry only kidding.
Ignore it if you can - spam is despised on here as it is on there it seems but you only have to see how many people can get decent free advice on here.

Hmmm... so you have 2 sites (yahoo and MSE) that make their money through advertisements. You want to be able to go on one and suggest that their users go to the other instead?

Are you really surprised that yahoo arent keen on you taking their advertising revenue away from them? Ok, I doubt you get a cut of MSE's revenue for doing it but irrespective of if your posts are paid for or not it still understandable

I have a habit of mentioning other sites, not necessarily money advice ones, when responding to queries especially on the BBC forums. They don't seem to have a problem with it and only remove posts where people are blatantly referring members to their own website. And, although they have moderators they often miss people trying to drum up business. They do have excellent forums though, especially the gardening one.
