Name and shame the shops who lie about NUS discounts.

  • The NUS Extra scheme has always seemed to be a rip off idea to me. £10 for a discount card???

That means you have to spend enough to earn £10 of discounts before you can make any money.

Our Dominos Pizza gives all students 50% off the pizza whether it is with or without an NUS extra card. The only real place i can see to use the card is on amazon.

HOWEVER I use quidco when i buy things online to save money (and it is free - except for a £5 yearly fee - if you earn that much) and it soon builds up :)

Although whenever I have asked in the past they say it's not valid on meals, so the discount is pretty much worthless unless you want to pop in for the odd drink or burger.

Our uni used to give free NUS cards until this year. I have always recieved more discount than £10 per year so is worthwhile, but i understand it may not if you wouldnt use it.

Is the Domino's offer for all domino's....or does every store have their own offers.

10 quid for NUS is a joke imo, it was 1 quid here last year, now 2 different kinds? and one for discounts == 10 quid? last year a quid/free, someones cashing in eh?

usually if you show your campus card 9/10 shops will be cool with that
