I never had any break in any claim, from income support transfer to JSA last year but the advisor say I won't get any job grant or lone parent £250. I don't know why ?
Except that you SHOULD have had breaks in your claim, when you went abroad on holiday, no?Well I go on holiday 5 times a year abroad while claiming JSA. 1 week x 5 times doesnt affect my sign on in between. It your holiday rights!0 -
you dont have to continue signing if you dont want to its your choice. if you cntinue to claim earings will be taken off your JSA but you will get your NI credit.
work 16hrs + and you have to sign off, work under 16 hrs and you can declare it as part time work and still sign, but you have to be available for full time work, and still attend adviser interviews.0 -

This doesn't do the OP any favours though does it, having a 15 hour contract beggars belief when employers should be aware how it impacts on benefits, for the sake of 1 more hour, opens doors really.
You couldn't risk applying for tax credits just yet until you are certain this will happen and as cassie says OP enjoys her holidays abroad every other month so can she commit to extra hours.Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.0 -

and?they could be on a 1 hour contract? I thought people wanted RM to run as a business?
so as a business they offer crap contracts
As i said 99.9% the OP will be over 15 hours, most likey they will bew on 30 hours on an average week
