Help! Foundation for really pale skin
Comments
-
If you have a Tesco near you, I find their Barbara Daly foundation to be one of the palest (most highstreet foundations turn me orange). I use their oil free one, despite having dryish skin and it's the perfect match and has a lovely texture that isn't too heavy.0

I use maybelline's dream matte mouse. I often find lighter foundations can look either quite cakey or powdery on fair skin , but the formula of the mousse is super light
As someone who has suffered with acne for many years (which is only just beginning to get better) and has scars as a result, mousse only highlights what I want to hide.0 -
A word of warning: mousse foundations, in my experience are only any good if your complexion is in perfect condition.

Ditto anyone with dry/flaky skin. Makes me look like a snake shedding it's skin.0 -
Prescriptives. You need to live in a big town and go to a department store to find them but they can match any skin tone. They have a range of foundation types to suit skin tone as well. Not a cheap option but it does last a long time0

It appears that you are not terribly on the ball - Prescriptives went into administration last year or maybe even the year before so now do not retail anywhere on the high street. You can still buy some products online but not from any "official retailer" such as Prescriptives themselves or a major dept store such as House of Fraser, and besides, this is only any good if you already know what shade you require.0

Hehe that's true
Don't get me wrong, it is an epic brand and I was a tad gutted when they went bustBut then again if you never advertise and your packaging looks like something from the 1980s (those boxes!! come on!!) then what did they expect to happen?!
I would make sure you know what shade number you take so that you can reorder online when yours runs out0
