Help! Foundation for really pale skin

Hi Guys,
Can anyone recommend a foundation for really pale skin? I've got a wedding to go to next weekend and really want to look my best. I've tried a few eg max factor second skin in ivory but even that makes me look orange against my neck
Also went to the clarins counter where they "matched" me against a No.8, when I came out of the store I looked like someone had applied orange tan over my face (even worse than the max factor!) I also stuggle with some that make my skin flake so they need to be pretty light.
I'm pretty desperate so any recommendations greatly recieved!
Thank you x

Try the lightest Max Factor - called something like lasting performance (has a star on the bottle) it is very light and pink rather than orange. Also Estee Lauder Shell in Double wear and Revlon Photostay lightest colours. All of these are very light and are pink/blue based rather than yellow. Think you will find one or all of these perfect.0

Tesco's Barbara Daly 'Ivory' is pretty light in colour and texture, and pretty cheap, too, so you haven't lost too much if it's no good! Actually it's one of the best I've ever used.Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0

Illamasqua every time
or if you want something light, try Lush - jackie oates colour supplement. Apply it straight or mix with your day cream for a tinted moisturiser0 -
i'm very pale & the only foundation i found that i could wear was dior purelight in 100 (now discontinued, sob - it's been replaced by diorskin nude & the lightest shade of this is still a decent match for me as it's quite sheer). it is an expensive option though, especially if you only really want it for one day. i only wear foundation on special occasions & so i've never yet finished a bottle!Comping since August 2022
- bottle of 7up, brewdog glass0 -
hi there,
I have really pale skin aswell, and I find ALL liquid foundation too dark and heavy for my skin. I use Rimmel mineral powder foundation. I use the nude one, it's really light and gives really good coverage, just make sure you use a good quality face brush to apply to really blend it in. I also use a light reflecting coverup (I've got a cheap one from my local market, and it's as good as touche eclait). All this evens out my skin tone, because I get a bit blotchy aswell. Hope this helps, I'm sure you'll look gorgeous!0 -
Go and get it matched somewhere else. If you don't think it looks right, question it. Once they blend it in you can tell straight away if its orange or not?0

Stila is pricey but great! Try Ebay x0

Make Up For Ever High Def is amaaazing photographed, as is NARS Sheer Glow. I know they're not money saving foundations but they're the best quality for pale foundaitons, in my experience!!0

RMK - far eastern brand with lots of shades of pale! only in selfridges though.... definite downside! i would have recommended prescriptives for colour matching but they've closed all their counters.
i'd suggest a big boots or department store and just go round until you find one that works.
there was a great thread with lots of info on foundations with lots of reviews - i'll see if i can find it and link to it here:happyhear0
