I second the Estee Lauder Double Wear in shell, you can get it in normal and a lighter version. Not cheap, I think about £25 but really good. I don't wear make up all the time but when I do I wear good stuff. I have it in Ecru which is still a light shade but Shell I believe is the lightest. If you go to the Estee Lauder counter they will give you a little pot to take home and try.

Have you tried Mac? I have not found a lighter shade then Mac, its even too pale for me and I have huge issues with only two highstreet brands making colours which suit me (the palest versions of Maybelline and thepalest for the new X-PERIENCE range of Maxfactor).

Otherwise Bobbi Brown. Porcelaine matches me perfectly and its the palest shade. No other brands work for my skin tone as they are all too brassy.

Clinique have a good range for very pale skin - it's about the only make up counter where I come away not looking like I've been tango'd!
  • I'm really pale and I use Benefit Playsticks in Spin The Bottle.

Agree with suggestions for Mac and Estee Lauder - my very pale friend uses those (the lightest shades!)

bourjois do a '8 hour sleep effect' in shade 71 which suits me, firstly though find out if you are a cool or warm undertone. Im very pale but have a cool/yellow undertone and many 'palest' shades make me look too pinky.
    Bow Ties ARE cool
