Boiler leak....central heating pressure drop!

Wow there.....easy tigers! Without wanting to sound too 90's...take a chill pill fellas! If ts still under warranty for both materials and workmanship why are you a) faffing with it and b) spending your time on here instead of contacting the installer and inviting him around to investigate? Sorry to be blunt.
No worries - sadly its the boiler only that is covered by parts and labour warranty..not install. So my intention was determine whether fault was boiler or installation (pipes etc) related.just irritates me how blind some people are to their families safety when they think they are qualified to 'tinker' with the boiler.
Taking an active investigation into a potential problem in my mind is not blind to family safety - quite the opposite. I belive it is key to understand exactly the process and systems that are in place and to understand how they work.Usual story though - hare set running and then OP disappears for (thus far) 4 days. Can't be that important then.
As per my earlier message...intially wanted to ascertain whether the condensate waste was a part of the pressurised system somehow...which someone politely confirmed my belief that it wasn't. Since then I've been monitoring looking for signs of leaks in the boiler. With varying success.....woke up one morning to find a small puddle underneath - but no sign of any leak. Re-pressurised and bled all radiators again...and since then nothing, nada.....
So still trying to find out whats actually going on at the moment...0 -
As this is 20 months old and condensing, I would assume it is a Greenstar 30Cdi?
In which case, the outer case forms an air tight seal to the combustion chamber 'box'.
If this is not sealed correctly, unlikely I know, then the air/gas ratio will be affected.
I would start off with pressurising the boiler to 2 Bar, turn off the isolating valves under the boiler, leave for as long as possible, then if the pressure drops you know it is a leak in the boiler. If it doesn't, or does when you open the isolating valves again, then it is a leak on the system somewhere.
