spelling mistakes

Why is it lately that people on this site are starting to spell 'lose' with two o's as in 'loose'? petty i know but its doin me ed in.;)

It annoys me too, but not as much as people who point out spelling and grammar mistakes to try to win an argument.0

I'm with you, paddedjohn; I'm a complete grammar and spelling fascist. But there's no point worrying about it on an internet forum. If you don't mind looking a bit stupid, that's up to you, I guess. *shrugs*

I was talking to a friend about these sort of things the other day. I got an email from someone who had used 'carnt' twice in the email then a text message from someone else saying they 'carnt' come out tonight.
I also remember getting a job application mainly written in text message speak and used @ instead of 'I worked at'.If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -
It's like those people who "brought" a house and want to check their council tax "brand".If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

And people who can't stop their car because the breaks don't work.
Or who do something pacifically (although that is more of a verbal one)
And what's so difficult to work out about their/there/they're; to/too/two; accept/except etc...We may not have it all together, but together we have it all :beer:
