I've seen that on my local group too along with "Wanted- Wardrope".
(And that's popped up a few times by different people.)0 -

How about the use of 'been' instead of 'being' as some think it's pronounced 'be-en'.
'Pacifically', 'somethink' and don't get me started on 'their', 'there' and 'they're'...:rotfl:
'Been' used in the present tense does my head in completely.
Something that's started to really get my goat recently is people getting a word wrong in sayings, e.g. 'to sum it all off'. And there are more annoying examples but I 'cnt tink ov ne' *shudder*0 -

Unless you're dyslexic of course.
Seconded (or is it thirded?)

and 'would of' and should of' irritates the blumming life out of me.
would HAVE and should HAVE, dammit
I am constantly correcting Flyboy12 and Flyboy10 when they say this.
I had an employee who had a terrible habit of doing this, when it was pointed out she had no idea that she what she was saying was incorrect.
When Flyboy12 was in his first junior school (not the most pleasant of experiences for him), his teacher wrote in his homework book; "should of tried harder." I replied, "I am sure, if he had tried harder, he wouldn't HAVE needed to do the catch-up work in the first place."The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

I just ask them where did they bring it from.Messes with their minds.

And people who can't stop their car because the breaks don't work.
Or who do something pacifically (although that is more of a verbal one)
And what's so difficult to work out about their/there/they're; to/too/two; accept/except etc...
That's because they are broke. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
It's when people say larger for lager and draws for drawers. I don't say anything but it does annoy me a wee bit. Not enough to get het up about it though.
I've also seen quite a few people who are 'in dept' on these boards.0 -

I think it is often misused in place of "wary." Either that or being beware makes them fatigued.
Other ones that get my goat, is the use of punctuation in quoted speech; the punctuation goes before the quotation marks, not after. Then there's the annoying full stop before the closing brackets as well. :mad:The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

There is a guy in my office who gets most of his quotes mixed up it's become a bit of a running joke to the rest of us,only because he is a real 'know all'
He seriously said 'Fox Pass' in a conversation once...:othe daft thing is no-one ever corrects him we just humour him.0
