The only time i find this a problem is when trying to download torrents before midnight they are really slow. Solution wait till after midnight where you have unlimited download traffic and full line speed.

Here's my connection now currently being traffic shaped but still maxing my line out

I have been with Plusnet for 18 months. My exchange only handles BT broadband and as Plusnet are the same company then they can offer their service alongside. However as they don't have their own equipment in the exchange I had to pay £11.75 pm instead of their lower fee however their service has been without interruption and I find their website to be excellent. I thought about switching to BT this week as with cash back through Topcashback the price over the 18 month contract period for BT worked out cheaper when their phone and calls package was taken alongside. I called Plusnet to ask for a Mac code to leave them and they offered me the same anytime call package and Internet package still on a monthly contract for £5 per month less than BT. This wiped out the need for cash back and saved more on top without the need to switch broadband suppliers. Very happy with Plusnet.

Plus.net do in fact have a traffic shaping, which I find more than acceptable as I've never had issues watching iPlayer in the evening, which is important in my book.

In the old days, I was a torrent freak, but not so much anymore. However, the few times I've used bittorrent on Plus.net, it has obviously been pretty slow. However, I found I got much better speed my ensuring that your bittorrent client is set to only connect to other encrypted clients. It seems that Plus.net do not have the super-deep packet inspection tech in place to get around encrypting your BT traffic. So, at the risk of causing my iPlayer streaming to crap out, I hope this helps your Bittorrent speed issues on Plus.net ;)
