I tried this in a light brown and it has gone almost black. Have washed a few times now and even used some fairy liquid and now is a dark brown. I know it will fade in a few weeks but I will definitely stick to the John Frieda one in future. It's alot more even.
If anyone else has dry hair, I would suggest leaving in for less time on the mid-lengths to ends.
Can I just echo this advice; tried mine today (Radiant golden Blonde) and it is considerably darker than I expected from the colour on the pack. I realised it was looking a bit dark and washed it off after about 15 mins, I'd say it is still a light brown rather than blonde, hopefully will fade!
Trying a new shade is always a gamble, I know, but thought I'd warn people. I won't be using this again.
Having said that, it was easy to use, didn't drip and the conditioning balm leaves the hair nice & soft.0 -
I got my dye on tuesday, used it and thought it was fab, went for a dark brown shade which covered my reddish hair very well, was easy to use and personally think its 100 x better than the John Frieda Foam ( that is just my opinion tho:)LOVE isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live WITHOUT0

It seems the darker shades are better than the lighter ones...?!0 -
To set the scene - my partner and I are currently buying a house and planning a wedding so money's tight - I don't go to the hairdressers, always do it at home. More recently, I've been really happy with my hair so I've been using the Clairol Nice n Easy root touch up stuff... which is great and super easy - takes me ten mins for perfect coverage.
Anyways- I was waiting til pay day to dye my hair there in March and had seen all of the adverts for the new L'Or!al Sublime Mousse - thought it looked awesome and was even more delighted to find the exact shade for my hair, a sort of dark almopst slightly purple dark chocolate! LUSH!
Opened the box...thinking it would be the same as practically ALL other hair dyes I have EVER used... that it would take me 10 minutes for coverage... But no - 30 minutes it takes. So already I was a bit disappointed but not to worry - I ewas thinking with that length of time, it was gonna be great colour and top notch coverage.
So timed it perfectly, then jumped in the shower...rinsed it off then got the hairdryer on... already I could notice from running my fingers through my hair with my head upside down that my hair was a lot drier and more straw-like than normal... but I thought perhaps tyhat was just the initial effect and this would go away after a few washes.
So - the hair is now dry... I got the mirror in the bathroom which has the best light right beside the windo... and there they are...gleaming out in the all the glorious sunshine of that lovely Saturday morning..... ALL MY GREY HAIRS... completely in tact, with ZERO coverage!! I was truly gutted, I can't tell you enough... I had my best friend's 30th party that night and had a million n one errands to run that afternoon before the big night...
Honestly I can't trell you how upset I am - I use lots of L'Or!al products which I have loved in the past - I use their Sublinme tanning stuff too which is my favourite and so just presumed the quality of the Sublime Mousse would be jst as top quality.
I am really upset - my hair is disastrous now - so dry and brittle.
Anyways - I went to Tescos to get my USUAL Clairol roots touch up stuff...
what can I say... am just sooo gutted!!
But, I mean, the colour I can get over - like I said - I covered it over... it's not that that upsets me - it's the fact that my hair is lifeless, dull, dry and feels like it's been stripped of any shine I had (everyone always told me I had really shiny hair!!).
Has anyone else had a similar experience and does anyone know how to make a more formal complaint to L'Or!al? I have never written to a company with a formal complaint and have no clue how to do so!! But I feel so strongly about it that I am just gutted :-(
Thanks in advance for anyone's help
