Its harder to gen an orange contract, thats why. Orange seem to have heightened the difficulty to get onto their network; just means people go elsewhere.
For the OP; dont keep trying, the same result will happen again. With most networks their result will be the same for a specified amount of time (think its 3 months). Plus, a decline lowers your credit score. If you really want to find out why, write to equifax and they will send it to you in writing. Usually costs ~£2.0 -
My shiny new XDA Orbit isn't locked, works a treat with my orange wednesday payg sim :-)0

hi op
the prob is because the place you applied through will have tried to open it as a new account rather than an additional on the account you are closing down.
who were you ordering through?
you need to give them ur original account no this way its a credit review rather than a check!
keep your drink.....just give me the money0 -

That's a load of old bully. The credit check is exactly the same no matter where you apply. In most cases the shop has to ring Orange to do the credit check unless they have a system called "enable" which they input the customers details on and then this electronically is transferred to Oranges system for the credit check to be processed (by experian)0 -

I work for Orange and I can categorically confirm that Orange do not use any other company than Experian. Equifax was used about 5 years ago before we switched.0 -
