...says the changes will be with effect from 27th June. Maybe it is for new accounts the changes will be from 1st April.God save the King!

There is a thread in the Budgeting and Banking Forum with a link to some information in one of the posts.
I think Friday was the day when you couldn't open an account with more that £5,000 which is what we wanted to do, so the money advisor was warning us about it before we opened the accounts.0 -

You might be hard-pushed to find 3% in June, even if Bank Rate goes up, so reducing your balances to £5k per account might be a better option. Only time will tell.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

.................the amount of brochures, cheque books. debit cards etc they sent out with these accounts must have cost a bit, now their changing the rules so people will be leaving them in droves.....0
