Once one has registered and logged on to internet banking for the first time, is it then possible to apply for 2 more accounts?
As Noktok just said, yes it is. Although when I did it I wasn't able to open the second two accounts immediately. For the first 2 or 3 months after I opened the first (as a new customer) it just said something like "we're unable to offer you another current account at the moment" whenever I tried. Then a week or so ago I was suddenly able to and have now opened two more and added vantage to them without any problem.0 -

Looking at my records I opened the first account at the end of October last year, and I was able to open the second two accounts last week (Mid March 2011). I'm not sure if it would have been possible to open the second two sooner by phoning or going to a branch - I didn't try.0

I went to a branch and they opened 2 other accounts 2 weeks after I opened the first account online.0 -
Hi,
I had reapplied for a new Vantage account on Sunday and got a confirmation letter by post this morning stating that my account is opened and requesting me to pop into the nearest branch with ID proof... to action it further.
so hopefully should be back again into the savings mode0 -

It would be of interest to hear if they raise any issues with you. It seems odd that Lloyds have been running these Vantage accounts since about 2005 and they have only just started getting sniffy about the way they are operated. Perhaps only MSE-ers are using these accounts as savings accounts and they have only just realised it's happening.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Be aware that they are dropping the top tier with 4% interest, I have started a thread in the banking forum.
I went in to open three accounts this morning and was told they are dropping the top tier from April 1st ( that might be for opening a new account) but as from June they will no longer pay it to anyone, too many people have jumped on the bandwagon and they want to look after people with current accounts with less money in them, they will get 1.5% and 3% for up to £5,0000 -
i just thanked you trisha - but thats dreadful news given i have only just got it all set up in the last few weeks. don't shoot the messenger i guess.0

I am sorry to give you bad news :-(
Maybe they will come up with another offer for you, they will have to do something to prevent people drawing out their money
Our friend set his accounts up for him and his wife three weeks ago and went on holiday, he will get a shock when he comes home
I almost set it up last week, left it until today to see the advisor in the bank, hot footed it down with passports cheque books etc as advised and were given the bad news0 -

Truly, it's not good news but forewarned is forearmed.
Frankly, this rate has stood head and shoulders above regular, instant-access savings rates and the only thing I find surprising is that it has lasted so long.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
