Morning
Well the sun is shinnig and there's not a cloud in the sky. 2 loads hanging out on the line.
House is a tip so going to try doing bit in 15mins burst as it seems to work for others on here.
Going to look into doing a low GI diet. Because I was feeling so bad with my fibro yesterday I was researching things on line and a low GI diet may be the way to go. Only problem is I am a fussy eater and just about everything I eat is high GI so not sure how this is going to work.
Right off to get some breakfast (i have been up for ages but i can not eat when i get up) then do my 1st 15 mins of housework.Feb 2012 Grocery Challenge £200/£4.00

Morning All
Welcome Newbies :hello:
Sorry to be so infrequent at the moment, but life seems to running away with us, even had F&C last night.
However, off to Peterborough for the weekend in the 'van. All food packed in there, made teacakes (spicy ones like hot cross buns without the cross) and put a loaf in overnight so that is cooling nicely.
Molly ((big hugs)) to you, bet it was a scare for all. Hope there are no side effects. (((hugs))) too to anyone else not up to par.
Yesterday was my DS's birthday (26) he has taken today off work (booked in advanced :rotfl::rotfl::beer:)
:bdaycake: Master LouLou - Hope you are doing OK too Loulou.

Just had phone call from DH - seems that the doctor he saw last week didn't do enough investigations and now DH has been referred for an emergency scan as he may have testicular torsion. Absolutely fuming - they generally say that if TT is suspected they have 6 hours to save the testicle. Fortunately there is no talk of it being anything more awful than that, or anything life threatening, but perhaps if the first doctor just sent him away with antibiotics a week ago  I hope for his sake that he's right and it is just a nasty infection, because if he's put my DH through this because he couldn't be bothered to do the full checks, I'll go and take one of his off and see how he likes it!!!!!!

Molly glad to hear you are OK, I've just read your post - what a frightening experience. x
Bitsy we have a couple over here who can't/ won't eat red or leg meat. I just cook what I've planned and chuck in a chicken breast for them. We all like spag bol 'cept one so I add a small chicken breast into the bol mix. Same when we're having steak & mushroom pie. If we are having roast (beef, pork or lamb) I add a small chicken breast to the roasting pan half an hour before the end. Grrrrrrrrr to fussies!!
Oh Lowesy I hope everything is OK for your DH. Sounds very painful. x

Good morning everyone, still battling away at my essay only around 900 more words to find, and the sun is hing beautifully as well Grrr.
Well DD is going to pop in for a very quick coffee this morning whilst banking across the road so I'll have to get it on ready for her to drink..School run done and dusted only tomorrow to do then a couple of days off.I really don't mind doing it though as they are good little lads and it doesn't take long .my 'borrowers' knocked last night to borrow of all things a toilet roll !!!!How do these people manage to live I wonder. I was so gobsmacked I must admit I did give them one definitely won't see that back thats for sure.My lovely sis-in-law Val from Bromley is coming this week-end for a visit .I am so looking forward to seeing her .Her DD lost her OH two years ago when he took his life, and it has completely changed her life as she has been virtually living at her DDs ever since and has barely left her side .The two little ones have come through it not too bad although the eldest one had to have counselling which has just finished recently. This will be the first time in over a year that she has left them for a couple of days .It will do my sis-in-law good to get away for a couple of days and have a break bless her.I can see how she wants to be there for her Dd but she also needs to refresh herself a little. I am going to make her favourite which is lasagne for Saturday nights dinner with a creme caramel for pudding and fairly hefty quantities of vino.
On Sunday we are going to my DDs for dinner as the boys are always asking when 'Auntie Val' is coming to see them. Life can be so sad sometimes ,and I do feel for my niece as I don't think her OH could have imagined the devastation his act would cause to his family.
Still a bit of spoiling won't do Val any harm at all.She is my brother's ex wife, but my oldest friend, and even though her and my brother parted over 20 years ago we have always stayed friends .
Right time I got back to my essay I hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing
R/R I hate bullies and to think what those toerags have done to make a young man do such a thing he must have been terrified .Sadly little will be done to bring the b****rds to justice .
Take care everyone

Right in last 90 mins have cleaned both boys rooms and put away their clothes (they're only infants bless). Have cleaned both bathrooms and made shopping list and rough 14 day menu and cleaned dining room and picked up all the rubbish from inside the car. Just grabbing a coffee and then will get on with the sitting room. Looks like the hoovering throughout will have to wait until after school as OH is snoring LOUDLY as I type from his bed. He has pulled his neck out and is trying to sleep it off - hope it works as he has a GP refreshers course tomorrow. Domino dog is looking a bit shellshocked as his friend isn't here anymore - and yes, I did wake up with a dog inbetween me and OH this morning!!! Fortunately I had the head end (!!!)
Everything ending up in the hall at the moment, so hope to goodness I don't get any knocks on the door! But it is nice to have such a clean and tidy house - till the boys get home. Two more gulps of coffee and I'm off again - feeling that you lovely people are keeping an eye on me and making sure that I do it really helps. Although I have to confess that I can't keep up with the flylady thread!Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -

Just started making my own baking book. I got a recipe off my friend for choc chip cookies and found some recipes on here (dollydaydream07's flapjack, Twinks hobnobs.....). Pasted them into a word document and printed them off as it was annoying the otherday when I was trying the flapjacks that the laptop kept going onto standby! grrrrrr! Going to make the flapjacks and cookies tonight with my son so he can take them on his scout hike at the weekend....if they last long enough lol.
Going to get showered now and then off to B&M with the dog for some more baking sheets.
xThe best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0 -
