    Morning All,

An early one for me today as I am meeting my beautiful DD in town for a day of shopping and probably a nice lunch. I will leave the car at the station and get the train. It normally costs me about £3.50 on the train and about £10 to park so no contest. I don't mind the train. Need to get a pressie for dads birthday at wkend and something for mothers day for mum as she will be away when it falls.

Firstly need to parcel up the ebay stuff and post it whilst I'm out.

Not much OS'ing as I am also out for tea with a friend who needs a chat (marriage problems) so Dh will sort himself and the boys out.

JulieG I have reached the second part and I know what you mean, can't see me getting through it, not into the setting in the future iykwim but I will try:p I think we must have very similar tastes

Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day as I need to clean the house, oven and paint the last bit of the spare room:rotfl:not much then so today I shall enjoy a day off in the sunshine.

    Have a good Thursday everyone J x

    Morning all!

What a glorious day again, windows all open and dog slept outside - his choice, he dragged his bedding out and refused to come in, I left the door open, but he was still snoring away in the garden when I went down this morning!

Working this afternoon till early evening, then have to go and collect dd2 from a detention, have told her she will have to wait at the local leisure centre for me! Planning to have a mosey around the local garden centre this morning, looking for a bit of inspiration, will have to wait until the weekend to buy anything as will need ds or best friend's muscle power to move things!

Lunches today were: sos rolls, lemon cake, clems/apples and cheese
Dinner: sweet and sour pork I think - need to check menu plan, but assume I have pork in the fridge for a reason lol!

RR - that's a terrible tragedy, poor lad and his family xx

Hope everyone has a good day xx

    Morning all...

In a rush between meetings today (ssooooo tired already lol!), so just a quick hello from me. I'm due in another department in about 10 mins (but they can wait, it adds to my "flustered academic" persona if I turn up red faced in a pile of paper with coffe down my front!)

Laundry on as I left the house.

Dinner is something hopefully less minging with aduki beans. I will not be beaten (plus I still have loads of them)! OH did get some chicken out of the freezer too though :) I cheated last night and bought (I know, I know) a huge pasta bake in Tesco as I was home late (it was YS, m'lud) but it was nothing more than average. It did bring it home to me how much OH eats though - I ate less than 1/6 of it (me and pasta will never be good friends) and there was less than a 1/6 of it remaining this morning; it was supposed to feed 4 - and he weighs nothing (he cycles 8 miles a day).

OH phoned about a house we saw a while ago, but when I called it had been sold - it appeared back on rightmove yesterday so he called again. i know what they accepted on it first time round as the EA told me when I rang, so that is greata s it was quite a bit below asking (it's a wreak... but we want a wreak!) I am amazed what the EAs call "needs work" - most of them have just got retro avocado bathrooms. I get teh feeling people don't like to get their hand dirty.

Molly41 - hope you are feeling better today

have a good day all, cel x

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Kids and OH on school run so house is so quiet you could hear a pin drop - BLISS!!! Workmen started on repairing roof due to storm damage. WM finished and on the line. Ashamed to admit that my 15 min blitz on the kitchen turned into half an hour - but now it gleams - all apart from the oven & hob, which I'll spray tonight and clean tomorrow. Just waiting for the floor to dry before I can get cleaning products to do the bathroom (cunningly disguised rest break!!!).

On the way to pick up the littlies will pop into Mr T and do a shop as we've little milk, no cheese and few fruit and veg!! Have friend coming over with her 3 kids tomorrow and have said I'd feed them. Clouds burnt off and have a lovely sunny day again, so have put planters out to warm up the soil and the seeds that I planted last night - hope we don't go back to frosts as I've not enough space to bring them in overnight. Ok, will be bathrooms, then bedroom1 and hall, then boys rooms, then dining room, finishing off with the sitting room. Have already decided on tomato soup for lunch (two ooops'd cans!) for OH and me. Planning to be in the garden / outside this weekend as have work to do. Strawberry plants coming up for sale at Lidls and Aldis soon too. And need to get my spuds planted as they're sprouting. YIPEEEEE Summer is on the way. Have fantastic day everyone x
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Have stripped the bed, WM is on. House is passable:D Need to do an inventory of the little freezer this morning.

Nothing else much to report here.

RR - thats terrible but it happened to a girl near here too who was being bullied - dreadful for the families and friends x x

Lou - hope your DS has a lovely day x

make the most of the sunshine everyone,

    take care all x x

    Morning my lovelies :D

Been busy already, put spag bol on in SC, put the vac round, fed kids and cat and cleaned her tray (although I caught her on the veggie patch yesterday  I feel a water pistol coming on ;)).
It's bloomin' gorgeous day here again :D Got a load of washing to hang out and a small load to put on and then basket will be SHOCK HORROR EMPTY! Can't remember the last time it was completely clear :o
Going to take kids to garden centre today, I need to get some compost urgently and they like looking at the plants etc. Need some more carrot seeds too......MUST write a list. Will come back then and do some planting.

I have made an appointment with myself this afternoon to meet my outstanding admin. Thursday afternoons will be for admin, not hours and hours but in small bursts as I am really behind and I hate doing it. The further I get behind the more I don't want to do it :o:o

Tea will be spag bol. No idea what H will have as he doesn't eat mince. <sigh> am getting a bit tired of his faddy eating. Won't eat anything other than chicken, turkey, bacon and low fat sausages. I need to shift some of the beef and pork in the freezer and the more I cook of this the more I have to cook separate meals for him. Sorry mini whinge there :o

celyn - No one can see the potential in houses, they all want them done up before they buy.

Loulou - Happy Birthday to your DS, hope he's have a great time :D xx

bargainbird - When EH came to visit me I was expecting them to look in oven, fridge etc. Never even bothered  Asked me a few basic questions and some really stupidly simple questions during general chat and that was it. Not sure if it will be different for you but good luck xx

Candy - enjoy Wales and hope your Aunt is OK xx

Redruby - how tragic :( I'd like to know what his bullies are thinking right now :(:(

Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.

    Morning All ,

    RR - what a tragedy :(
Molly - how terrifying! Glad you're ok now xx
    Loulou - happy birthday DS
Bitsy - seperate meals for your OH?!?!?!?!? He knows where the oven is does he not? :D

Beautiful and sunny here - wish I was outside rather than stuck with a view over concrete Croydon!

Not a great deal to report today - DH is back off to the doctors; hopefully they will sign him off so he can recover properly.

I've already had 5 comments this morning about how my bump has dropped  I've still got 9 weeks to go!!!!

OS today - need to finish sorting out DN's room and make sure her washing gets sorted.

Have a lovely day all. Hugs xx

celyn - No one can see the potential in houses, they all want them done up before they buy.

That's what the EA said. I told him that I know a tin of magnolia paint doesn't cost 10 K and he just laughed :o I actually think it's worse when it's been done up for sale as it's likely that I won't like what they have done - it's really difficult to paint over an accent wall when it has been done in red gloss (*puts on LOLCATS voice* "changing rooms.. ur doin it wrong" *facepalm*)

We are after a wreak - but a specific sort of wreak; I don't want to have to deal with self-built flat roofed extensions, damp or dodgy gargage-to-living space conversions; but would happily take on a house that needed rewiring and had no central heating, no bathroom or no kitchen.

We have seen some horrors though  Ohhhhhh.... the mould.... it's sooo furry.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:cel x
