Tell him to Man Up...Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

not at all im just saying i don't think hes one of those people who would try and smother a child to get a ride in a nee nor like some sick people ive heard about but if i thought he was anything like that I wouldn't stay here, my kids come 1st, just trying to understand it, I was being light hearted in my reply as I thought you wereHe's trying to get an extreme emotional reaction out of you. Now he might not hurt the kids directly (in your mind) but how do you think a five year old would cope in the same situation?
It's seems to me that you're making excuses for him.0 -

So far is this as odd as his behaviour has got, or has he done other weird attention seeking things? My ex behaved like this for a while and gradually over the months his behaviour got more and more odd and out of control.
It does sound like attention seeking to me which is very strange in a grown man. If you can, address it with him and say how out of order he is behaving. Things escalated in my case and his attention seeking became something else entirely

If he has recently had two teeth removed, he might have an abscess. That could make him feel pretty awful.
It just seems very strange that after a nice day, he just goes and lies face down on the landing floor, for no reason.0 -

Our eldest who's 4 saw him doing it tonight but didn't say much i just told him dad was being silly[/QUOTE]
Crikey, if my nearly 8 year old saw her daddy laid out on the floor, not responding to someone talking to him she would be hysterical. Thinking something awful had happened to him. In a way his behaviour is childish and weird in another it is quite manipulative. I would be surprised if this wasn't worrying your kids when they see it.0 -
Bucket of water might work next time he does it....0

Sounds just like you suggested 'attention seeking' an appropriate behavioiur for a young child, but as we grow older we usually develop more age appropriate ways of getting attention.
could be an indication of him having had a difficult childhood and him not having moved on through that stage. Very difficult behaviour in an adult relationship, I would suggest him seeking some professional help. Possibly start with GP, might need the help of a more specialist therapist.0 -
What the hell did he decide to lay on the landing for? Was he gonna stay there till you noticed? Was it a prank?
