    Morning all

Thanks to Pixie for starting us off, hope you enjoy your "study" day. ;) Lovin' the smileys. Pernicious good luck with giving blood. I hate needles too but just think of all the good that blood will do or think of the tea and biscuit whatever gets you through. Sun is shining here today too. Half way through the week for me, as I have Friday off :D

    Today I will:
    Walk to work
    Check bank balances
Check surveys - I can only echo the onepoll frustrations. Tried last night but just wasn't working
Charge phone and ipod at work
Stuff face with buffet from caters I have arranged for an event we are having at work today (instead of lunch)
    Walk home
Buy Radley groupon voucher with birthday money
    List more items on Ebay
Thank you letters for birthday pressies
    More tidying
    Washing on economy setting

Hope everyone has a great day
    xx

    And I will:
    • Hunt out hayfever tablets, cant believe its hit me already :(
    • Do loads more washing and airer dry
    • Get OH to put up my new rotary line in garden, can then dry tons in the sun!
    • Bit of housework
    • Lunch and dinner from stores, using chicken that needs using today
    • Job hunt
    • Friend gave me email address of the person dealing with temps at our local council so need to email
    • Walk to collect kids from school, hopefully warmed up by then! Confused brain, gorgeous sunshine, step outside and its freezzzzzing!
    • Stick to diet! Been 100% this week so hoping for good things tomorrow!
    • Anything else I remember lol

Just wondering if anyone knows....I am off sick with work related stress at the mo but my manager keeps ringing and leaving messages asking me what I am intending to do and that I need to make a decision now and tell her. Its really stressing me out, I want her to leave me alone this week to try and let things settle! I was under the impression that she wasnt allowed to contact me while I am off sick? My OH works at the same place and she wont leave him alone either, which also causes me stress :( (Doesnt help that manager has decided my GP has no idea and that I am not suffering with stress, she thinks depression even though I, my OH and GP have all said absolutely not).

  • Hi Everyone,
I`d like to join in if no one minds?
Having lurked for ages on this site I figured if I finally joined in it would help me keep up my motivation to get rid of the last 10k of my debt (I`ve paid off aroung 8K in the last 4 years).
It`s lovely and warm up in Cumbria but cloudy.
Today I have a whole day off (I`ve worked the last 7 days on split shifts so have done nothing but work and sleep all week) and have loads to do:

At least 2 loads of washing and dry outside (1 load in machine as I type).
    General tidy up and declutter.
Take the dogs for a good long walk and get some fresh air.
Give back yard and kennel area a good scrub out.
Check One Poll and try not to swear if it isn`t working.
Take some photos of stuff to list on Ebay/
    RELAX !

    Packed lunch
Prepaid travel for another X amount of months so don't have to worry about that.
Still got plenty of coffee at work so won't be splurging on Starbucks etc.
Keeping my mind open for opportunities to save money. Just found a website that could prove useful but need to make sure it's all safe before I go ahead.
Keeping my ear to the ground (eyes actually - why do people just walk passed change on the ground??). So far nothing today but I live in hope.
Debt at worst: £33000 (Feb 2011). Present debt: £25610 (Apr 2012)
    Lloyds old (22.4%) = 560 (Dec 2012)

Thanks Rock_cakes, I'm trying to remember that what I'm doing is a very good thing for others & should only be a short moment of discomfort for me...Hopefully it's not as bad as my overactive imagination is making it out to be :rotfl:

    Hi Cleosmum,

I can't say this with absolute certainty but I don't think she's allowed to "harrass" you or your OH like that...how long have you been off sick if you don't mind me asking? & I take it you have actually been signed off by your doctor & thus your employer should have certificates to show this?

Depending on how long you've been off you do need to speak to your employer about when/how you intend to return to work. For example if you've only been off a couple of weeks, it's far too soon for your employer to be pushing for that, however if you've been off for a year now your employer has a right to be updated on your progress & if they can continue your employment or if they need to replace you. Not a nice thing I know but you have to think of it from their point of view as well if you're likely to be off for another year for example.
