Just received my first £55 cashback from Buymobilephones.net with no problems, having sent the claim special delivery with the claim form stapled to the bills (as well as taking copies of the claim forms).
IMO you're asking for trouble at some stage if you don't take these precautions.0 -
Not really. I haven't used recorded for years and never used SD. I always have a back-up plan and if you know what you're doing it isn't a problem. However, there are other risks and it's no good complaining if you get it wrong or they go bust.0

Just wondering if anyone could shine some light on it for me?
Reason I'm doubting it is because... well... what are they getting from it?
Thanks :P
I'd recommend the AUTO cashback with Phones4u or Carphone warehouse where they'll send you a cheque after 30 days of connection, so you can use that money to pay for your contract, but yeah, you should avoid the 'cashback by redemption', as its a hefty process and not worth it at all.

I've done both cashback via quarterly redemption (on my first contract) and automatic cashback (this time round!). It's a little bit of faff to redeem the money back but worth it for a good discount if through a reputable company (like buymobilephones - I've used them twice). I like the automatic cashback though - it was a nice surprise after Christmas
I'd forgotten about it by the time it rolled round and there it was ... an extra £70 in my bank account...!
I always go for a monthly amount that I can manage in the first place though, and then anything after that is a bonus.0 -
I've not used buymobilephones.net myself so can't comment on their reliability. The thing that put me off buying from them in the past are their t&c's are much stricter than others i.e. you have to send in every single bill a lot more hassle. Also they seem to be a small company so you don't know if they'll go bust.
I've been doing cashback for many many years, I've stuck to the big boyz e2save, phones4u etc cashback much simpler process just send in 1 bill each time.
you can get better than free, you can actually make money. I just bought a pay monthly contract 600mins,500txt,ulimited browsing data t-mobile £25.54p/m for 24 months but after cashback and topcashback I will be in £16.64 profit! (add extra £10 profit if your with quidco)
Just get organised at the beginning i.e. setup calender reminders in your email yahoo etc when bill arrives for that month just send it off. simpleess0 -
Only £26.64? My latest should earn me over £100. Claiming cashback is easy nowadays - but no company should be used lightly. Even Phones4u - the ultimate relaible cashback company - now has misleading, hidden and sparse t&c. If you really know what you're doing there's nothing better. If you go in without REALLY understanding what you're doing (and what to do if something goes wrong) then avoid. Simple as that really.0

I think this depends on your priorities: either airtime or the cashback or both (compromise). Also, you may keep the phone or sell it to increase the profit.mobilejunkie wrote: »Only £26.64? My latest should earn me over £100.
Is this what you mean: Promotional offers?Claiming cashback is easy nowadays - but no company should be used lightly. Even Phones4u - the ultimate relaible cashback company - now has misleading, hidden and sparse t&c.
I've been using redemption deals for years, but with other companies. Why do you deem the T&C "misleading, hidden and sparse"? I am no expert, but it took me seconds to find the T&C and they look pretty clear to me assuming that "'How to claim' section of the claim form" does exist and is clear enough.0 -
:rotfl:Thanks Pocahuntas for your advice ....
You are pathetic. Are you another alias of Pocahuntas and rbtg ?
Quite a coincidence! All three joined in March with the only aim to promote some unknown site.
I always wonder how marketing departments manage to employ such idiots.
It's time to start clicking
buttons I think. 0 -

I currently have 9 contracts for myself and have no sparcity of airtime, texts, phones or data bundles. I always make a profit and go for the deals which offer the most profit.
Try Dialaphone's t&c - now part of Phones4u. They are rather different and there are a number of unsatisfactory elements with them:-
1) The t&c are extremely vague and sparse - more so than any other dealer I've ever used or studied.
2) The "full" (still inadequate) t&c only appear clearer AFTER you've ordered.
3) The t&c which come with the phone miss one vital ingredient.
4) The t&c (when you do get to the bottom of them) contradict themselves specifically on at least one vital detail.
The rest is still uncertain, though it's something which I can deal with in a variety of ways should I need to. For those who take simplistic instructions at face value it's very hazardous in my humble opinion.
I agree with your other post about the spammers; if they do work for the marketing department (as seems extremely probable) their ability to express themselves indicates that not only is the organisation pathetic but is also run by idiots.0 -
Fair enough, but swift1 wanted to get free 600 minutes and unlimited internet in the first place.mobilejunkie wrote: »I currently have 9 contracts for myself and have no sparcity of airtime, texts, phones or data bundles. I always make a profit and go for the deals which offer the most profit.
Could you be more specific, please, as one of my deals is with them and it's my first time with this company?3) The t&c which come with the phone miss one vital ingredient.
