Is this really free?

I came across it using one of the sites in the stickies;

buymobilephones .net/mobile-phones/Nokia/Nokia-2330-Classic-Free-Line-Rental-Discount/T-Mobile/T-Mobile-25-(18mths)-inc.-Internet/2706819?adnetwork=af
(remove space after buymobilephones, as a new user I can't post links)

Just wondering if anyone could shine some light on it for me?
Reason I'm doubting it is because... well... what are they getting from it?

Thanks :P

    Cashback deal. You have to adhere strictly to the terms of the deal to get the contract for nowt.
  • So, you mean, don't go over the 300 mins etc?

    You have to pay £25.54-a-month then submit 4 or 5 claims during the course of your contract, sending them recorded delivery and hoping you meet all the terms and conditions. Avoid it, I say.
  • Ah fair enough, thanks :)

    Far too categorical IMO.

    Thanks, after reading that I'm 100% put off the idea of it.

    I thought it was too good to be true so I did right checking here first :)

    I would say, go for it - BUT dont count on the cash back as a way to get cheap rental, see it as a possible bonus that may or may not pay off...

    I just happened across it while looking for a new phone, and wondered if it was legit.
    If I'm going to end up paying £25 a month anyway I may as well get a phone from this decade :P

    I am sure you have read the information on cashbacks, they CAN (but not always) be very unreliable. If you can afford the full line rental anyway, then the cashback is just the cherry on the icing... May be worth while checking out the site through a cashback website to see if you can get even more cash back...

    I've always found Buymobilephones to be reliable to the extent that I don't send recorded delivery, you get an email within a week saying claim has been accepted so I've sent 4 claims on 1 contract & 1 claim on a 2nd 2nd Class so far all have been received.

    I send as soon as the final bill is available so there is ample time to send a 2nd recorded delivery claim if the first goes missing, but so far that has not been necessary.
