My poo covered kitchen floor...

I would appreciate any thoughts on this?
I have a 9 month old springer, who has a bit of a dodgy tummy, which we are working on (finding out what is causing the problems etc.)
We have just been away for 5 days and he stayed with a lovely family and has been spoilt to bits
I dont think he was very pleased about coming home to be honest and this morning I came downstairs to be greeted by no less than 9 poos dotted around the floor  he has not pooed on the floor since we first got him aged 4 months and he actually only did it the once, so I am pretty shocked.
I dont think he 'needed' to go as it was not runny and even in the midst of all the tummy problems he has never had an accident inside and to go 9 times seems a bit excessive even if he were desperate!
I am feeling that he may be a bit !!!!ed off with us for leaving him (or bringing him home!) - does anyone have any suggestions? it doesnt help that the dog walker is walking him today as well as I am working..

Dogs dont hold grudges, or do things to annoy us.
Has there been a change to his diet, or has he been given things that he doesnt normally have whilst you have been away?0 -

No - they knew all about his problems and he is not allowed treats or any different foods.
The poos were 'normal' wheras if there were a problem as he has had, they would have been runny.
As I say, he has never ever done this before - even when his tummy was really bad and was desperate he would still hold it until morning...0 -
Maybe he wasn't relaxed go enough when you were away and his was in a strange home so saved it all until he got home.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

What makes you say that? Are there other indications that your dog is stressed or unhappy?"There may be a legal obligation to obey, but there will be no moral obligation to obey. No he is fine and was before we went, it is just that the girl who looked after him doesnt work and has spend 5 days playing with him, brushing him and talking to him! as well as him having another dog to play with..
I work from home but when I am working I am working, I cant play with him or talk to him, although I am there all the time..
I am probably feeling a bit inadequate
whilst I am pleased he had a good time, I feel like I arent as good as she is
I dont blame him for wanting to be with her! 0 -
Love, you're jealous!! It could be as simple as your houses not smelling the same? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

On the other had maybe he is happy to be home with some peace and quiet! I know my doggie gets fed up with contstant company and will often take himself off for a quiet half hour.
See how the poo goes tonight, it may just have been that the journey home and the relief of knowing that you haven't abandoned him has unsettled him.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
