Well, for what it's worth, he's still a young dog. Also, sometimes dogs struggle to handle abrupt changes in their world, like changing home or being put into kennels etc. It may just be a one-off reaction to an unexpected (from the dog's point of view) change.

Did he do his business the night before, before bed time?

Love, you're jealous!! It could be as simple as your houses not smelling the same?

Well my house smelled nice before he pooed 9 times in it!:D

Yes you are right I am jealous:o

Yes he went out as usual before bed, we went a bit earlier than usual though (11pm) as we were tired from our weekend away..

He will be going to this family every time we go away so hopefully he will get used to it and know that he is coming home next time.

Its worse than having children this!

All I would say then is take it easy and see what happens. I know exactly how it feels to wake up or come home to what looks like a dirty protest, but try to hide your feelings from your dog. If the problem is caused by how he's feeling, your stress will just add to the problem. Chances are it's just a one off and things will settle down. As I said earlier, it's early days and he has a lot of growing up to do yet. 9 months can be difficult age for dogs - a bit like the dreaded teens in kids - so try not to be too disheartened.

    Fingers crossed ehh?
